As someone who has dissassembled and reassembled their pyra, as well as modified the prototype case to be suitable for assembly its my opinion that nothing in the process is beyond the means of anyone with basic skills in electronics. So long as the kit is advertised in a way that manages the...
Is there a 3d cad file around or if @EvilDragon was able to maybe he could release the design files for the Pandora?
I 3d printed a replacement nub for my pyra thanks to the publicly available blender file and it works great, could a similar solution be employed here maybe?
Mostly just dick around trying to get things working right now. The experience is EXTREMELY klunky atm.
Geany, for on the go code. VLC for music. Chromium for web browsing.
Stability, and a concise user experience.
haha, nah. Well actually I am trying to get Marathon Aleph One running right...
I've definitely had weirdness like that happen with boot. And like you I found plugging it in fixed the problem. You're not alone. Its all part of the adventure right now I guess.
The clear proto cases require modifications to the screen bezel otherwise it's easy to break the digitizer on the screen. The area around the nubs and maybe some other places need sanding down too.
I don't think they are able to ship out clear pyras since the cases require rework and that would...
Still no response from @EvilDragon, but I have no doubt he is busy with the shop. I will I carry on.
As I continue to enjoy my Pyra I have run into more problems.
Looks like my right nub decided to self destruct. I used the blender file to try and devise a replacement. It worked okay, but...
Hey @EvilDragon I just recently swapped the case on my unit over from the black to the prototype clear case just for fun. I have some questions about the Pyra case and I figured it would be good to put them on record in case anyone else has them in the future:
First just to bring anyone...
Thats cool, just wanted to make sure.
Just having a blender file at all is really helpful. So long as the screw hole spacings are correct I can manage the rest.
Hey sorry to revive this but I think now that people are getting their units having access to an updated Pyra case file would be very useful. Im going to print some modified nubs to test some things, and I'd like to print a new top plate with a physical stop so it cannot open all the way. When...
Unfourtunately I'm afraid I keep doing dumb things. This time I broke my pyra screen trying to put it in a clear proto case I bought :(
I think I may have broken the ribbon cable too! go me!
I have also noticed a metallic springing noise when I use the nubs, which doesn't really bother me but is noticable.
I also get drift as well. Is there no way to adjust these settings?
I think putting this up for bounty was a good idea!
I would love to be able to contribute to the bounties for bugs. If I we as Pyra owners could put money up towards whatever feature or bug is bothering each of us the most that may help push things along and also help indicate community...
I second this.
I'm also wondering if there might be some way that those of us who just recently got our pyras could be helpful? Editing and expanding the wiki? Producing bug reports? I want to help!
