    Pandora 1GHz megapack restock?

If there won't be a restock, you could just buy the Classic Megapack: https://www.dragonbox.de/en/pandora/224-pandora-1ghz.html And then buy the 1Ghz PCB and put this PCB in the Classic: https://www.dragonbox.de/en/pandora/225-pandora-1ghz-pcb.html EDIT: Sorry ED, I didn't realize this post...

Wow! I gave it a try. Pale Moon is the fastest browser I have on my Pandora so far! It's a keeper!

    Glad to have my Pandora.

Oh, I like sci-fi! I'm reading Dune right now. I'm trying to learn how to write science fiction stories myself. Share your stories with us. I'd love to read them!

    Desktop version of the Pyra?

Something like the Ice xPC? Link: https://www.indiegogo.com/projects/ice-xpc-a-modular-computer-as-small-as-your-phone I would like something like what Dr. Hax is talking about. Maybe just have the Pyra able to plug into a computer, and the pyra "takes over" the computer, so you can use the...

    Glad to have my Pandora.

Dr. Hax, will you be making PDF's of your story and share it? I'd like to read your writing! I used my Pandora today at work also. I tethered my Pandora to my phone, then used the PanDebian's apt-get to install qrencode! Then I spent an hour learning how to make QR Codes with my Pandora all at...

Buy a Pandora or wait for the Pyra?

I was going to wait for the Pyra... they say it'll be just "two more months"... But the more I watched youtube vids about the many things the Pandora can do, and the more I read around these forums, the more I couldn't wait. So I gave in and bought one. What convinced me was that it was on sale...

Emulator brings x86 Linux apps to ARM devices

Did you have the same probelm too?! The Pandora was the first thing I ever bought outside of the US. I never knew we weren't able to purchase things outside the country. I was so, so, so disappointed when I learned I couldn't buy a Pandora! I thought I'd never get to own one. I called my bank...

Emulator brings x86 Linux apps to ARM devices

Oh shoot! My bank won't let me buy things from out of my country :( I had this problem with buying my pandora. I had to call the bank headquarters and ask them to let me buy the pandora from Germany. I'll just wait on this. Thanks anyways dimag0g.

Emulator brings x86 Linux apps to ARM devices

Thanks Dimag0g! Do we buy the exagear*.deb files and licence at that website? (http://linuxgizmos.com/emulator-brings-x86-linux-apps-to-arm-devices/)

That Exagear thing worked on your Pandora? Did you just compile it and make it run? I want one also then!

Split: Solar power and the Pandora

It actually does charge the Pandora well. It's worth the $14 and free shipping. There is really only one way to find out: try it.

Split: Solar power and the Pandora

Looks like the topic of solar charging has been spoken about before. From what I read of thoese threads, and from the points raised here, it might not be practicle or doable to put a small solar cell on the cover of a pandora?

Aesthetic Criticism of the Pandora (split from What would you like to see thread)

Glyph, I think what Dr. Hax was trying to say was that certain species of fish might be too large to fit inside a Pandora. Guppies maybe... but not carp :) Giant Carp: http://online.wsj.com/news/articles/SB124992848711620175?ref=SB124991924916619783

Aesthetic Criticism of the Pandora (split from What would you like to see thread)

You're not. I'm on your side. I really like the look and feel of the Pandora. I'm also a 'Utilitarianist'. The Pandora works as a gaming thing and as a computer. It fits in your pocket. Doesn't look like a toy for kids. You can take it to work with you because it looks sort of "professional" as...

Split: Solar power and the Pandora

Maybe some type of break switch that breaks the connection between the solar cell and the panodra's power thing/battery. That way you can switch the solar cell connection off to remove or put in a battery.

Split: Solar power and the Pandora

I've been using this solar powerbank to charge my pandora: http://www.gearbest.com/mobile-power-bank/pp_1045.html?utm_source=shareasale&utm_medium=shareasale&utm_campaign=shareasale I've never had any issues and it always works. Dr. Hax had the idea of placing a solar panel on top of a pandora...

    How'd I do?

Yes, this might need its own thread :) This idea might not work if the solar panel is constantly connected to the pandora's power source. Because I read a different thread here where someone put in his battery while his pandora was charging and it fried his pandora. Perhaps a little switch...

    How'd I do?

Well, I'm in california, and it's very rainy here. I had my power bank laying on the sofa, and when a little break in the clouds came, some sun light was available, and from the sofa, the power bank began to charge. You can tell it's charging because the four blue lights blinks constantly. I was...

    How'd I do?

If the theory works in practice - that a solar panel by itself will charge the pandora/pyra battery - then it would be awesome! The solar panel can go on the opposite side of the screen. The cover might have to be clear plastic to protect the solar panel from scratches.
