    Official Gph Sdk

Do you have a link to the SDK? I haven't seen an announcement anywhere.

    Gph Announced Competition

I don't understand. If the prize is a development kit, it stands to reason that the people who want to win don't have a development kit. If they don't have a development kit, how are they going to write a game to enter into the competition? This is made doubly confusing due to the fact that...

Caanoo / WIZ Wiz Unofficial Sdk For Windows

Fantastic! First SDK I've tried to use that works!

    Windows Toolchain

    Heh, no problem!

    Windows Toolchain

The SDK is set up to work with SDL, and it compiles the same code to either Windows or Wiz binaries depending on your selection. Same as the Code::Blocks GP2x toolchain. However, it won't debug the *Windows* executable.

    Windows Toolchain

It seems to sort-of work. The template builds and runs on the Wiz (I can hammer at the buttons and it quits back to the menu system, which is a good sign). However, it's missing the SDL_inifile library so the template will not build unless you remove that lib from the compiler directives...

    New 1.1.0 Firmware Out

First attempt at running the upgrade crashed the Wiz - screen turned sideways and went crazy. Left it 20 mins in case it was actually doing anything, but restarting it just brought up the old 1.0.0 firmware. Trying again, and this time I've got a picture saying "Wiz Updating... It takes about...

Did You Get Your Retail Wiz? Post About It Here!

Got mine on Monday. First GPH console I've owned (I've got a GP32, GP32 BLU, GP2X F100 First Edition and a GP2X F200) that didn't make me think the controls were added in at the last minute after someone pointed out that perhaps a games console should have some sort of dpad/joystick/other input...

    Vice (commodore Machines) 2.1

I have a production unit (1.0"] and it doesn't work for me, it just exits back to the main screen. Same problem here. Also production 1.0.

    Fake Ds?

Yes, but that means you fund criminals, and terrorism, and communists, and I bet you murder kittens too. QUOTE "When you buy these goods, you're not funding our economy, you're actually funding criminals in these far off places and it could be linked to terrorism," she added. Oh noes, the...

    Gpfrontier V0.4

That picture is from Frontier 2: First Encounters, not Frontier. Frontier doesn't have texture mapping, for a start.

Gph: The Wiz - Official Announcement

I had to do the wedge-of-paper trick on my original GP32 to make the diagonals work at all. My BLU was much better - no problems getting the diagonals - but it was still a desperately bad joystick. Despite having worked my way through every GPH handheld except the GP32 FLU, I'm going to give...

Gph: The Wiz - Official Announcement

Because it's traditional for GPH to make a complete shambles of every single input method they try their hand at? Examples include the diabolical original GP32 joyless-stick, the not-much-improved stick on the the FLU and BLU, the horrendous joyless-stick on the GP2x First Edition, the...

    Purchase Decision For Amiga Nut

As a fellow Amiga nut (currently got 3 1200s, two with 060 boards and one with an 030, a 500 and a CD32), I'd suggest that you'll be disappointed if you're buying the GP2X just for Amiga emulation. If you're buying it for more general emulation (Mega Drive, Master System, SNES) with the...

    GP2X 68000 Assembly (asm 68k)

Noo, Blitz BASIC was a programming language. One of the tools included in the Blitz package was a compiler. There's no reason that someone couldn't have written an interpreter if they'd wanted to. Waste of time, though. Compare it with the other big Amiga BASIC language, AMOS - out of the...

    GP2X 68000 Assembly (asm 68k)

A couple of famous examples are Gloom and Super Skidmarks from the Amiga. At the time, people made a lot of fuss that the games were written in Blitz BASIC - arcade games written in BASIC? Surely not! In fact, not. Blitz BASIC had a full inline 68K assembler. BASIC was used for initialising...
