    Viewerdm V0.91

In short it says "no time, so no promises". But I would like to know your suggestion for the background color and/or font. :)

    New Ebook Reader App

There used to be command-line flags for all the pre-render settings, but after I added oddbots file selector, I sorta turned everything ON :) If anyone is looking for inspiration, check out FBReader

    New Ebook Reader App

Full justification is nice, but without hyphenation you often have too much space between words. Also, I'm lazy. Changing the colors 2xBook uses is quite trivial actually, as everything, including sub-pixel rendering, is done dynamically. That's why I stick to the bloated library method :)...

    New Ebook Reader App

almost! ;) I hacked some stuff together a few months ago to test my SDL_ttf subpixel patch. I named it 2xBook (yes, how original). It does sorta what you describe. features: a very crude autodetection for pre-wrapped ebooks (like gutenberg books) a tiny scrollbar a readable font, like yours, but...

    Hi-fi Mp3

I prefer to use quality presets. They are tuned and thoroughly tested by people who actually have ears (unlike Drak) MP3 (+-192kbps VBR): lame --preset fast standard Ogg Vorbis (+-160kbps VBR): oggenc -q 5 Both are perfect for HiFi, anyone over 20years old will not be able to tell the...

    Divx + Subtitles

I second that, no need to convert anything. The rendering isn't that bad either (in fw1.4)

    GP2X Sub-pixel Font Rendering

Freetype does have a vertical render mode for LCDs (FT_RENDER_MODE_LCD_V), but SDL_ttf doesn't support anything vertical. Hacking sub-pixel rendering into every part would take a lot of work. Ask theoddbot, he was working on a poppler-based pdf reader. IMHO pdf is complete overkill for ebooks...

    GP2X Sub-pixel Font Rendering

I hacked SDL_ttf a few months back to render sub-pixel anti-aliased fonts. While doing so breaking bold and italic styles and all the blended font methods, so it's not really usable for anything but text on one-color backgrounds. :) I'm working an a text reader (plain text, no fancy html or...

    Firmware Is Out

You'll probably be dissapointed though... They added features to change front and back color, and there's an option to select a .ttf font now. But GP forgot to turn on anti-aliasing :( Oh and there's still no line-wrapping as far as I can see.

    Screen Dimensions Of Gp2x?

Screens are always measured by their diagonal, in archaic inches. The screen's width and height are 4/3 relatively and the diagonal is 3.5", the dimensions of the screen are thus (insert some basic math here...) given by: width = 3.5" / sqrt( 1+(3/4)^2) = 2.8" = 7.1 cm height = (3/4) * width =...

    1gb Sd Card Ruined

Taking the card out while it's still turned on (or before/during sync) can corrupt the SD card's partition table. Don't ask me why, blame gamepark. Since windows expects there to be at least 1 partition on it, it doesn't see the card. Your card is probably not broken. Just fix the partition...
