April is here - so whats realistic :)

Ok, but they still have to make the final case mould too right?

Can the making of the mould and the CE/FCC testing run concurrently? That is what the front page seems to suggest... in which case (no pun intended), since I think it was said that CE/FCC testing takes one or two weeks, I guess we've got 30-35 days until the mould is finished and mass production...

    "Exciting news"

I agree with everything you say. The only thing I would add is that most companies don't ask you to pay for it 7-10 months before it's released either - but this is just one more part of what is different about the project and also what has made it possible. I do wonder whether the project...

    "Exciting news"

I have to say, I am getting kind of sick of waiting too. The lack of updates is also disappointing. It is not true to say that they are updating us every step of the way... it has been a long time since the front page to-do list was updated, and going by that list we still have the final mould...

RTS masters of the pandora community

No time to read everything, so I dont know if it's already been suggested, but: I really find that RTS games get boring when there are resources involved too much. I much preferred the DoW system of capturing positions to get credits...it makes the game much more strategic. Perhaps you could...

    Release psp emulator

hlide, do you still have a pandora ordered? I should be getting a beagleboard if they release rev c next month (my LCD monitor doesnt have DVI so I need to wire the LCD pins to some laptop LCD) so I will start looking into this again... I have this and one other big software project (and a bunch...

Marciek, what's going on with your forum, any progress?

please please please, put a projecter on it...

I think the Ti DLP projector has a DVI/HDMI input so it wont work... would love to be proven wrong though!

    Pandora modding!

These have not been separated after having been soldered together - the board was designed to use non-POP RAM/NAND

FreeCnC (Open source Command and Conquer)

This game should just compile and run easily as it uses SDL which I'm sure will be supported.... and FreeCNC is old. You want OpenRedAlert which is based on it but is still actively developed: http://sourceforge.net/projects/openredalert/ There are already several threads about this.

Overclocking and tweaking for performance, what can be done?

I say if you want more performance write all of the software in FLTK

    Missing Members

Well, I've been watching the gp32x forums for literally years, since long before the gp2x was released - i used to think about getting a gp32 but was never quite convinced and there was always a better cause for my cash. I think I even got a forum account a couple of times to ask some questions...

    RAID on SD

Actually, as far as I know, Linux software RAID will work on any block devices. This means that you can use the SD cards to make some kind of RAID array. It depends on how the buses works as to whether you would actually get a performance benefit though. :)

    Sales Boxed?

Hmmm. Volunteers to create the first pocketable open-dildonics device? Believe it or not I heard about open-dildonics from a University lecturer when I was a student. Honest. And amazingly, I just discovered that none of the open-dildonics blogs are blocked from the proxy...

    Pandora case

Not wanting to be left out when I bought my pandora I also purchased the case for it. It is only now that I think about it that I realise I know nothing about what the case looks like or how many pockets it has or anything. Anyone got any info?

    Dual video output

The OMAP 3 has 2 inputs IIRC (one CMOS, one CCD I think), but definently has 1. But the Pandora has none AFAIK. Except perhaps on the spare pads on the board itself...where you might be able to hack something. But that's if they are on the board...I'm hoping they are...

    Pandora Power Cable

If it is switched mode, which people seem to be suggesting, it will work out of the box in the netherlands. You might need a different 'figure of eight' lead or a UK to European adapter though (a couple of £)

    EXT port

Ok, sorry guys, just saw this viewtopic.php?f=17&t=318 But any more info appreciated

    EXT port

Ok. This has probably come up somewhere (after all, I've just asked here: http://forum.openpandora.org/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=207&st=0&sk=t&sd=a&start=40#wrapheader) but what connector is used for the EXT port, and what is the pinout? Is the serial line TTL or RS232 voltages?
  20. C

Which external USB or Bluetooth keyboard will you use?

Serial/ext port questions, TTL/RS232, connector, pinout, pow I saw all these nice keyboards, and if I were to buy one the one above is certainly what I'd get. But it is _identical_ to my Palm IIIe keyboard, except the Palm one has to be plugged in, and I don't feel like wasting the cash when I...
