    Gp32 Screen - Dead!!?

I bet upon reassembly you did not reinsert the lcd ribbon cable deep enough into its connector. You understand how the simple latching mechanism on the connector works, right? You'll never be able to fully seat the ribbon's contacts unless the connector is unlatched first. Relatch the...

    Upgrading Gp32

Yes it's possible. Ever since I got my GP32 a month ago, I have been heavily modding it and a cpu swap is next. Based on my reasearch and comparisons, browsing through datasheets and the like the most suitable replacement of the GP's S3C2400 is none other than its descendant, the S3C2410...

    Tapwave Zodiac Versus Gp32

It's true that this topic is going off focus..this is the GP32 site ya know! But....... Yea, I was shocked to discover that the psp is already emulating the NEO*GEO CD! Would be nice to see some smaller cart games emulated in the future. (32MB psp ram limit). As for the 1.5 firmware hack...

    Tapwave Zodiac Versus Gp32

Each system has its +s & -s. From an emulation standpoint the GP32 is _much_ more developed than the zodiac and more than likely this trend will continue. The zodiac has the benefit of running the Palm OS, making it compatible with all Palm software. ...But getting down to the basics...its...

    Lcd After Powerdown

It's the norm...mine shows a ghost image for over 5 minutes! Strange indeed.

    Snes Emulation

I use a BLU+ as well...prefer to play osnes9x v0.2, even with the annoying white line. I still find it much more enjoyable than the v0.3 + release for several reasons. : 1. I _ALWAYS_ play snes with sound, it is an absolute must for this system. The excellent sound is why I bought an snes in...

    A Little Shout To Gp32z

There is a quick way to install that I thought of to do mine. No need to remove the lcd to pop out the original screen. Don't use screwdriver or a knife or you'll marr the casing. Find yourself a thin plastic card (not a credit card because they are too thick)...I used a video rental...

    A Little Shout To Gp32z

I bought the glass screen from him a couple weeks ago. My BLU+ has never looked better. He is a very trustworthy and polite seller.

    Blu+ Osnes9x V0.2 Available?

I always play SNES with sound, so to me v0.3 felt like a downgrade. I'd recompile the v0.2 source for BLU+ support myself and distribute it...but I'm not a coder. Much more of a hardware sorta guy. Retained .zip support with the ability to clock up to 200MHz would also be a plus over the v0.3...

Could A Neo Geo Emulator Ever Be Done On Gp32?

Right, the 32x on the GP32 will never be emulated. As for the NEO*GEO, I think it operates with a 12.5 MHz 68K + a Z80 at about 8MHz. Throw in its specialized MVS graphics chipset and I highly doubt the gp32_console could ever emulate all of this at a decent speed (even heavily overclocked)...

    Considering Getting A Ds...

Hey "lubidog" I was not referring to the upcoming micro GBA, but the NEXT GENERATION of GBA which is estimated to be released within the next year. Thank you bast525 for having a fully functional prefrontal cortex. You obviously understood the reasoning of my post. Unfortunately most dogs are...

    Considering Getting A Ds...

I was considering buying the DS myself, but came to the conclusion that it wasn't worth it. It's already a dying system with lacking consumer support. The new game boy release is right around the corner...so why waste your money on this "lame duck"?

    Blu+ Screen

The BLU+ screen looks very good in the sun with the backlight on or off (unlike the original BLU). I think the real reason why GamePark decided to change over to the Taiwanese lcd's is that they are simply better than the old Samsung displays. The BLU+ units not only have the superior...

    Minor Battery Lid Problem

No flaw, it's just the way the battery covers were designed...easily fixed mine. Got tired of hurting my thumb so I grabbed my Dremel with a cutting wheel. Just a little angle grinding at the outer corners of the cover's engagement latch plus a little off the top locking ridge and now it...
