    You can also flash the BIOS via JTAG if you have the necessary adapter/software. I do actually have a GP32 JTAG adapter (made by mr. spiv) but it requires a parallel port and I was not sure if the JTAG on my GP32 still worked, so I decided to connect the new flash chip to a STM32 microcontroller...

    The original AT49BV040 flash chip can indeed go bad. I replaced it with a SST39VF040 and now my GP32 works again :)

    1) which build of gpusbjoy.fxe did you use? 2) which operating system do you have? 3) do you have any real usb joysticks or gamepads? 4) do you have a gp32 serial cable?

    The current version (build 6) does not change the clock speed of the GP32. This means that depending on how you launched the FXE (Free Launcher, European firmware, etc.) the clock speed might be different. The next version (build 7?) will probably clock down the GP32 to the lowest speed...
