    Easy Overclocking

I found blu-tack was good at removing excess graphite, just keep sticking it onto the resistor until it comes away clean.

    Easy Overclocking

Of course it's a temporary solution - my soldering iron has a 3mm tip, so it's too big to solder such small components to the board. I'll get my hands on a smaller one soon and sort it permanently.

    Drmd

Ok, sounds like I should do more testing. I tried the pencil mod, screwed everything up and managed to get my GP32 working again having replaced the R53 resistor. Still, my GP32 was overclockable to 166MHz both before and after I played around with it.

    Drmd

Yes, I have never been able to go faster than this - my GP32 resets at 168MHz.

Wow, just tried this out on my GP32 NLU 166MHz and it works great! I tried it on Comix Zone and found exactly the same as Phoda: On DrMD 2.0 (set to 166 MHz) I get ~17 fps on this beta (set to 133 MHz) I get ~30 fps it makes the game a lot more playable!

    Easy Overclocking

Totally agree! I won't be trying this again, 166MHz is fine for pretty much everything, besides I don't want to disturb that blu tack!

    Easy Overclocking

Ok, I couldn't resist trying this, so I had a go on my GP32 non-lit 166MHz. I tried drawing over the resistor several times with an HB pencil, but my GP32 wouldn't go over 166MHz. The surface of the resistor is shiny and the pencil lead was not sticking to it, so in a moment of sheer utter...

    Castaway.. Needs Auto-frameskip?

auto frameskip would be great - I love castaway, it's one of the most polished, complete emulators on the GP32 Ed
