Mame4All 2.5 - Video Aspect - "border" Option Is Missing?

Thanks! I love the Caanoo overall. For the hidden / covered pixels issue, I am using a workaround that involves simply rotating the screen (via the options). It comes at the expense of not using the ideal resolution, although, come to think of it, the arcade games in question had screens that...

Mame4All 2.5 - Video Aspect - "border" Option Is Missing?

Is it just me or are there video aspect options, that are described in the readme.txt for MAME4All v2.5 that are not available in the emulator options? The bottom row in the girders screen in Donkey Kong, just to cite one example, is mostly off the screen due to this. It also trims part of the...

    Mame4All

Thanks a lot to both of you! I appreciate the detailed info about rebuilding likely not working in this case and also the ROM finding tip.

    Mame4All

I used my MAME 1.43 ROM's (which of course work fine with MAMEUI) and they do not work with MAME4All. After researching, I found out MAME4All does not support newer ROM sets. I believe it supports .34/.35 (according to homepage), although someone (who admittedly did not seem sure said it could...

Caanoo - Any Chance They Will Release A Spare Battery?

Thanks. That would be nice (if the Caanoo indeed uses a semi-generic type of battery)! I wonder if anyone has opened one up to see... :-) Mine is brand new, so I am not in a big rush to find out (i.e. I am not planning to open mine up), but I am curious...

Caanoo - Any Chance They Will Release A Spare Battery?

I love my Caanoo so far (just got it a few days ago). The only thing I was wondering is whether they will release a spare battery? I never understood why all these electronics manufacturers switched to PROPRIETARY batteries. In the case of Caanoo couldn't they just use 4 AAA batteries e.g...

    Caanoo Starter Kit

I updated my firmware to 1.6.1 and have tried several of the emulators. Thanks a lot for this BAFelton! Especially since there are not too many guides on how to get started (even though once you know it, it is more a matter of knowing the directory structure in terms of what to put where.

    Updating Firmware - Should I?

I upgraded to fw 1.6.1 now . (As suggested, I used a 2 GB standard Sandisk SD card formatted to FAT [not FAT32] which is the default). Just loaded BAFelton's starter pack (loaded it onto a Transcend (Class 10 I think) 16 GB SDHC card)... Just tested Mame4All with one of the free games. Going...

    Updating Firmware - Should I?

Thanks! Glad you mentioned it! So the recommendation is to use a small 1 - 2 GB non-HC regular SD card for performing firmware updates and then use a SDHC, as needed, for storing emulators and games etc. I guess? I know MAME ROM's alone can easily take up quite a few gigs - not sure if the CPU...

    Updating Firmware - Should I?

Thanks (re. the feedback about using 1.6.1 What is the issue with 1 GB or 2 GB cards? I will be using a 16 GB SDHC card I already had.

    Updating Firmware - Should I?

Anyone else on 1.6.1 (rev167)? Any issues? Is it any noticeable improvement over 1 1.6.0 Mine shipped with 1.6.0 It seems most of the comments for 1.6.1 are not too good (glitches and bricked units etc.), but others say it improves performance a bit I am trying to decide between 1.0.6 (seems...
