    So there's a 90-100% speed Megadrive emulator, with excellent compatibility, and it's only being kept private because it doesn't have sound? I bet there's not a single GP32 owner who'd turn down that emu in it's current state, and plenty who'd pay for it. Surely that's helping to create this...

    Heh. Yes that's exactly what I mean. The start button is fine for fire, and smart bombs can be done off the left shoulder button, with the bottom of your index finger. There's a wealth of free PC vertical shooters that could be converted. I think some of them come with source.

    It's great. Lovely blur effects. The rotated screen thing is excellent. Now we need a vertical shmup for a rotated gp32. It would rule. Ikaruga? Dodonpachi? surely it can be done!

    Removing smart card from gp32

    I pull the smc out by wrapping a rizla* over it. Them cards are slippy, and the rizla adds just enough friction. The running out slip is even better at the job. Before that, I had lots of little fingernail dents in the card. * rizla: a cigarette paper

    GP32 windups backgrounds

    I used Acdsee 3.10 to convert my pics to 256 colour gifs, and they work fine. No messed up pallettes or anything. http://www.oldversion.com/program.php?n=acdsee edit: ahhh you mean for wallpaper.
