The only games that are sideways for me are 1942, Mercs and Varth (or whatever it's called, I'm sure it's a V word) but they all had their monitors mounted sideways in the cab. The Wiz screen is mounted sideways tho so it might have something to do with that.
If GPH are going to bring out a new machine every other year without supporting the old one or sorting out any of its problems then maybe you should just buy a couple of Dingoos for the same amount of money.
I still think the NeoPocket's stick kicked some serious arse when it came to one-on-one beat-em-ups. It'd have to though, most of the games on it asked you to do things like fwd>bck>hlf-crcle-away>hlf-crcle-twds+A to so a super-special move.
Why can't we have sticks like the Neo-Pocket but...
The USB connection is REALLY slow on Wiz and a fast SD card makes no difference to that. Games that run slow also have nothing to do with the SD speed. The only place you might notice a difference is in the time it takes to load a game.
If you find yourself in a hotel room with a 14inch 4:3 CRT your Dingoo will be your best friend. Playing classic games thru the TV out is sweet but playing on an HD flatscreen introduces lag which ruins a lot of old games.
It's just 320x240 but it can play video that's a much higher resolution. It just downgrades it.
It looks fine on an old (preferably small) CRT TV, especially if you're playing old games that were only lo-res anyway. It looks pretty poor on a 42" LCD tho.
The shoulder buttons are crap and the reset button needs a paperclip. If you're playing loads of ROMs then you will get crashes (bad or incompatible ROMs) so wear a badge or put a paperclip on your Dingoo case. It's tricky to install Dingux and exploit its full potential.
On the other hand it's...
You can get a working car for the price of a Pandora but it doesn't have the same functionality. A netbook would be too big to have with me all of the time and it doesn't have the right buttons and sticks to play 8nit to 128bit games.
I'm all about the Pandora.
Isn't it easier to upload a torrent of a fully working set-up with selected roms? I was going to do the same myself but I'm new to the Wiz and I only have a few things fully working and I'm miles away from filtering out the faulty/incompatible roms.
The Dingoo has a TV out. The port on the Wiz is a sham. It takes hours to transfer a full romset so I use a USB to SD. A mini USB 2.0 slot would've done a better job if this slot isn't going to do anything else.
There's a "smells like 8bit" level at the end of one of the Katamari games. I'm sure that would be easy enough for the Wiz but I do't think anyone will bother.

This is awesome. I love the Dingoo emulator based on GNUboy but this doesn't tear. I would like the option to display in true black & white as well as the original GB LCD screen tones. The look of the menus are sweet too. zip support is a low priority for me since all gb and gbc roms ever are...
Looks like the problem was with my version of the emulator itself. Mine didn't have as many files in it as yours. Thank you so much. You've made my day.
found a 192kb tos102uk.img and renamed it to TOS.ROM in ROMS>atari-st but still just a black screen. Maybe my roms are goosed.
*EDIT* I've tried it with a bunch of different roms from another source now and it still doesn't work. I'm going to start from scratch. Anyone got links to all the bits...
I had quite a bit of trouble finding the one I'm using. I've searched for tos102uk but all I can find is chat on forums like this with people having the same kind of conversation but for different machines.
