Release BeebEm alpha, Acorn BBC Micro emulator

Hi, sorry to be so late to this thread but I have just started introducing my kids to BBC Basic and so I would really like to get BeebEm working on my Pandora. I downloaded this version, which I guess is still the newest; http://repo.openpandora.org/?page=detail&app=beebem-15428&p=1 When I ran...

    [SOLVED] power-off on login screen

I just plugged the Pandora in to charge it, since the battery was totally dead it took a few minutes to get enough juice to flicker back to life. Then, while it was charging, I experimented with the boot menu. I could get to the boot menu easily enough but figuring out how to select a choice...

    [SOLVED] power-off on login screen

1 - perfect 2 - wow 3 - I am pretty sure it's well seated and I heard about that as a solution for some. I seem to remember reading about a firmare tweak a couple of months ago that helped with this. The thing that worries me is that since it never completely charges I could accidentally...

    [SOLVED] power-off on login screen

I have 3 questions... I rebooted my Pandora and, when I attempted to login on the XDM screen (or whatever it is) the login failed and I got the error "cannot execute login command", so now I can't login. My Pandora has never had any software installed on it as I was waiting until I got my...

That's great news, I don't have anything running Angstrom; I was just reiterating what WizardStan said. excuses excuses...

    Javascript

The problem is that it seems that there's no "javaws" in Angstrom.

It's the Java WebStart JNLP that chole, above, already tested on a ShivaPlug.

    Javascript

Great, which browser did you use? That was on the BeagleBoard right, or do you have a dev Pandora? Sorry, I don't recall...

    Javascript

RE JavaScript... has anyone tried to run the Cappuccino Web Application Framework demos on either a dev Pandora or a Beagleboard? I'm really curious to hear how well, or not, they run since they are pretty heavyweight JavaScript; they implement Apple's Cocoa, AKA NextStep, in JavaScript...

Will Java Run (Well) On A Pandora?

IcedTea, built from OpenJDK, seems to be the best option for Java. Once I get my Pandora I'll be trying it myself, but I seem to remember that someone already has that working on the BeagleBoard. Since the Pandora only has 256MB or RAM I don't think that you'll get Eclipse running on it, and...

    Dsp Theora

Since Google open sourced VP8 I doubt we'll see the world move to Theora en mass, but you never know. How is Pandora for Ogg Vorbis? All my music is ripped into Ogg Vorbis, yes I should have originally ripped it all into Flac I know, but does the Pandora DSP handle Vorbis decoding or do we use...

Someone Got Our Wifi Chip Working On A Bb

Is this SBC, the SBC8100, not near identical hardware to the Pandora and claiming support for WiFi and BT using the WG7210 with an OMAP3530: http://www.armkits.com/Product/sbc8100.asp Are they lying, quite possible, or am I reading the spec incorrectly, also quite possible, or are they not...

Is Everything On Track For Early April Production?

45 KBps? That's fine, please ship it and I'll play around with the driver myself, if I really want more speed than that then I'll either buy a wifi dongle or an 100Mbps dongle.

Sun Java Plugin For Browser Applets Or Gcjwebplugin?

Exactly. I think I read somewhere that gcjwebplugin didn't allow JavaScript to call into the Applet's methods and/or vice versa. With Sun Java, JavaScript can call methods in an Applet and an Applet can call JavaScript functions on the page.

Sun Java Plugin For Browser Applets Or Gcjwebplugin?

OpenJDK *is* Sun Java really right? My worry is that some versions of Java don't support JavaScript/JavaApplet interaction, and that's something I need.

Sun Java Plugin For Browser Applets Or Gcjwebplugin?

I did some research and it looks like IcedTea is the way to go: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/IcedTea Here's the beagleboard info, but it doesn't mention Applets specifically: http://elinux.org/BeagleBoard#Java
