I've decided to sell my Pandora.
The reason for selling it is that I recently bought an Xperia Play ... and the latter is good enough for my daily mobile gaming needs. And I simply don't need two handhelds.
The device has been working flawlessly. I haven't had any problems with the shoulder...
I also got an USB OTG adapter today. Now, when I plug the Pandora into my Windows PC, Windows asks for a CDC Composite Gadget driver. Windows doesn't find any and a quick search in Google only gave me result about people having the same problem with a Beagleboard. One possible solution...
I think now is the time to finally say something. (Look at the post count I've amassed in the past year)
I really don't care about minor cosmetic flaws as long as the cases fit well, the buttons work fine and it is sturdy.
Actually the very first thing I thought when I saw the early renderings...
Yes, I'm also getting fed up with waiting. These endless delays are slowly exceeding my tolerance.
I really should have decided for a different mobile gaming device last year... any device is better than having none at all. If I had simply bought a PSP at least I could have played SOMETHING.
In...
Before you start bashing Jet make sure you are right about the facts.
Actually there were indeed some rumors if there might be an ARM port of Windows 7.
It seems the CEO of ARM made some comment pointing in that direction. As far as I can tell (from 2 minutes with google) it's all just...
hehe that website has a 'small' spam problem
The description of the game somewhat reminds me of Jazz Jackrabbit.
Although I can't remember something about dropping bombs ... and I have no idea how the death animation / game over screen looked like
EDIT: maybe it's Jazz Jackrabbit 2 ... just...
My main point is: there will be only 4000 Pandoras for now! ... maybe eventually 20-50k after a few batches.
IPhones/IPods however are sold in the MILLIONS every month ...
Even if the audience is a bit different you can't compare that potential market for games to the Pandora's
So if your...
Sure, developing for NDS or PSP might be difficult for small indie devs.
You might try the iPhone however. The appstore makes it very easy to distribute something and as far as I know it's really cheap (something around 100 dollars per application if I remember correctly).
I don't know how many...
I think if you are an indie dev and intend to create something for the Pandora you should really chose a game you like personally.
Probing the market in order to get the biggest potential audience for a game only seems reasonable if you want to maximize your profit.
However I don't think...
Even if Sony released a PSP2 in a few years I really don't think it could replace the Pandora.
Since piracy was/is a big problem with the PSP I bet Sony will do anything to prevent jailbreaks/homebrew on a PSP2. So a PSP2 would be for commercial games only ... the Pandora is made for...
Well, it seems a few people canceled their preorders because of delays, banking issues etc.
Maybe there is even a chance to get one of those canceled preorders?
I really don't know. You'd have to ask.
I just recently got interested in handheld devices for use with emulators...
It started when I saw the Icontrolpad for iPhone/iPodTouch ... I was wondering if I should get one...
Obviously I did not just go and buy one... the IControlPad still is not available AFAIK.
I searched around to see if...
