3. Get some music software running make some little tunes.

Am keen to find out about this too. Just sold my 2x and am going to end up going for either a pandora or a wiz based on which boots faster. Though the wiz also looks more appealing for gigging with to me.

Oooooohhh! This is far more than i hoped for.
Like a lot of you im now very confused.
If it feels good, doesnt suffer from any huge problems and doesnt take longer to start up than my desktop ill be using this for little gp tracker and waiting much longer to pick up a pandora :)
Ive clicked "Gp2x and waiting" but as of today its been sold and posted off to its new owner.

I think id swallow my worries and sign up if i knew how quickly it will boot.
I found the time my f200 took to get going okish for games but as someone who was mainly using it for music ... and especially as something to get an idea down quickly it just annoyed me too much.
