    Win2X : Alternative Frontend

You should have a lib directory in the root of the filesystem. If you use Win2X's explorer and follow the root backwards, you should have a list of directories like bin,usr,etc...There should exist a directory named "lib".Check it out and let me know if you would...

    Win2X : Alternative Frontend

OK,glad to know everything is fine. There is no reason to panic as reflashing the fw makes everything up.. You can already use your own wallpaper: 1. copy any .png file in your SD card. 2. run Win2X and open the explorer. 3. find that file, select it,press R and select copy. 4. close the explorer...

    Win2X : Alternative Frontend

Sony's instructions are correct. This is how you reflash your firmware...But I must state something:It is vital that you do not change the contents of the Win2X folder in any way before installing it!If you accidentally erased or modified any file while testing Win2X, then maybe that's the case...

    Win2X : Alternative Frontend

Unforunately you have to reflash your firmware Titan.I have some questions though: 1. The first time you ran "install.gpe" did Win2X load? 2. What FW did you have installed on?

    Win2X : Alternative Frontend

Thanks again ProgZmax!Well I have noticed the explorer copy/paste/delete bug too(it's due to some kind of overflow),just after uploading the new version but I fixed by now. Right now I'm working on the next version...So any reported bug would be appreciated so as I can fix it...

    Win2X : Alternative Frontend

    1. It is supposed to be compatible even though I haven't tested it.You can test it out by yourself.Just run Win2X.gpe.If it loads then it's OK.No brick chance for older Wizzes. 2. When you launch an app, Win2X unloads from memory COMPLETELY(no RAM,no CPU cycles etc). It's a frontend after all,not...

    Win2X : Alternative Frontend

As I asked on a previous post...it would be very helpfull if you could make a list with the contents of your "/lib" directory.I suspect that some files may be missing...

    Win2X : Alternative Frontend

Nice to hear you liked it. 1) When you create a link Win2X searches for a png file in the same folder as the target file, with the same name(e.g for an application named "app.gpe" it will search in the same folder for an "app.png").If a png file with the same name as the executable,doesn't...

    Win2X : Alternative Frontend

Unistalling doesn't delete the links in the SD folder of Win2X, but I must state that if you install Win2X,it doesn't load from the SD anymore(and you can delete SD folder of Win2X aswell). About deleted files...thanks for reporting this because it works fine for me(deleted files don't show...

    Win2X : Alternative Frontend

Yes,I said you should,in case you don't want to keep the old settings and for compatibility issues(in case I change something vital in Win2X's structure in the future). But right now it doesn't matter if you install over the old version.

    Win2X : Alternative Frontend

Yes.Clean installation will make you lose your current links...but if you want to keep them, just run "install.gpe" without uninstalling first. This will make a clean installation aswell and you'll keep your links in the sametime... In the next version I'll include an upgrade script aswell...

    Win2X : Alternative Frontend

OK...Finally we have an update of Win2X to version 1.0!Here the changes, based mostly on users feedback: > Improved explorer. > Explorer now supports copy/paste/delete/rename functions. > Full image scaling support for link icons and desktop background. > Added explorer icon database. Now each...

    Win2X : Alternative Frontend

Thank you ProgZmax! You can install Win2X over the last installation, but for safety reasons I suggest to make a clean installation.

    Win2X : Alternative Frontend

No that is not the case...In Win2X you have the desktop, which can hold links from different categories and also gives you the possibility to delete a desktop link without deleting the actual link(which remains to the respectfull category). In other words-desktop links are links to already...

Thta's right DaveC.The touchscreen works like a mouse, but D-PAD gives you access to the various options instantly! There is no mouse pointer to move. Even with the touchscreen. You do not have to replace your current interface, for trying Win2X.So feel free to try it and see for yourself... Forgot...

    Win2X : Alternative Frontend

I'm trying to figure it out,but unfortunately I do not have enough information on other users devices. Can anyone help?I need to know the contents of the system /lib folder for a non-working touchscreen(like yours). You can access it through Win2X's explorer and see its contents.Could you make a...
