I agree with Gaterooze, the battery life IS adequate, and I personally love the fact that the 2X takes AAs. My carry case holds several extra sets of rechargeables which is plenty to last me if I played all day straight! When I get home I pop them in my charger and I'm set for the next day!

your gp2x should come with a screen protector in the box. There is film on both the actual screen and the protector. Peel both off and stick the protector on. If your protector does get scratched, you can always replace it with a new one avail. at pretty much any of the gp2x distributers...
awesome emu...I agree, save states are a must and the "standard" rom directory would be greatly appreciated for organization of roms. I'm off to Oracle of Ages! (hopefully I'll be able to save it soon!!!) Keep up the good work
if you want tv-out, places like radio shack have female-to-female s-video to rca jack adapters...not sure of price because I have s-video, so I bought the-female to-female s-video to s-video adapter for around $5.95
I have a sandisk 1gb card and originally had 1.0.1 installed on my gp2x. My unit would hang at the green screen if I didn't wait to boot at least 10 full seconds after inserting the card while power was off. This seemed to solve the prob., kind of frustrating though. Haven't tested since...

My cable works fine, but the male/female s-video thing is frustrating...finally broke down and went to radioshack and bought a female to female s-video adapter for about $5.95 Works like a charm....it still is a stupid configuration though!
