    1gb Sd-wifi Card Looks Interesting

About using this to interface with a camera over wifi: you could store the pictures on an external USB drive connected with the GP2X - if you need to take a serious amount of pictures (plus have a handy, if low resolution way to review them right there), it wouldn't work out too bad. I think...

    Gp2x As A Pc Controller...

How bad could the battery life get if all applicable power saving strategies are used? You might not even have to use an adapter, as long as you remember to turn it off when not actively playing.

    GP2X Jabber's Log-fire

Ahh, I see. I always thought of SVG as kind of a WMF on steroids - I wasn't aware it had that sort of functionality. Yeah, it would definitely work well then.

    GP2X Blitzbasic

All the usage complications of linux aside, programming in it can be easier, especially when your target device uses the same OS. This will vary depending what language you decide to use though. If you're interested in learning C/C++, I would recommend running linux in a VM or dual booting...

GP2X Gba Emu And Static Translation

Even if the instructions are translated, likely the rest of the hardware is still emulated, so it wouldn't necessarily be wrong calling it either.

    Reflashing

It uses a straight through parallel port cable. Make sure a cable you buy/use has all the required wires present and they go straight through. Use a multimeter to check if you're not sure or have problems. That's about it I think.

    GP2X Jabber's Log-fire

You've still got to tell it where to position the graphics on the screen. You just trade one issue for another in this case. With a couple screen images (one with all elements 'off', another 'on') and some way of selecting masks for each element, it'd be really easy to make masks in...

    Tv-out Hd (looks Like Crap)

If you've got a monitor that can do sync on green, RGB (VGA) would just mean 3 extra wires, otherwise 5 I believe. I understand the EXT connector is a little crammed, but I'm sure they could find a way.

    Right, no SVG :P

    Tv-out Hd (looks Like Crap)

Sorry, I meant composite when I said RCA... RCA is usually what the physical connector is called. But I would try getting an s-video cable and see if it improves anything at all.

    Tv-out Hd (looks Like Crap)

Were you using direct s-video or an s-video to RCA adapter? if it was the 2nd, that could be degrading the signal. Part of it might just be the nature of displaying low resolution on a TV like that... I think only movies can use the whole 640x480 (or 720x480, not sure) at the moment, other...

    GP2X Remote Debugging To Gp2x

I noticed you haven't gotten any comments on this, but I'd just like to say I think it's good info to have around, so thanks for the effort :)

    GP2X Blitzbasic

I believe python and pygame are built in, and there's some good python tutorials on the net. Here's a pygame tutorial that might be a starting point. It uses the mouse though, so it won't be directly applicable to the gp2x, but it's something to look at to see if it's something you might want...

    GP2X Jabber's Log-fire

You know, it could be quite interesting if this evolves into a generic engine to be used in reimplementing all those cheap pocket LCD games... maybe something along the lines of using some screen images and masks along with a script to control the gameplay?

    Supported Wifi Chipsets

Some chipsets might only work with the windows drivers and ndiswrapper - these won't work on the GP2X because they need to run x86 binary code. The other issue is you need drivers that can compile against a 2.4 kernel source; I'm not sure if this is a big problem or not. You can find the...

GP2X Feasibility Of Mpeg4 Audio Decoding

Personally, I bet hardware audio decoding would be a lot easier on memory access than through software - all the lookup tables are probably built into the chip, etc...

    New Firmware For Mid October?

Easiest way to tell is by the label on the back. If it's almost entirely korean, it's a MKII.

    Good Place For Ebooks.

It's not hard to remove carriage returns while still preserving paragraphing with some creative search&replace tricks in a hex editor, but this leaves you with a "word-wrap ready" type file, and I'm not sure if the gp2x can do word-wrap.

GP2X Feasibility Of Mpeg4 Audio Decoding

If there is audio decoding circuitry, it's almost certainly separate than the video stuff. That's the nice thing about chips with special purpose hardware - it can usually be used simultaneously with other things, at least if it's well designed. In the case where it'd be doing both (video and...

GP2X Feasibility Of Mpeg4 Audio Decoding

I'm not sure there is such a thing as mpeg4 audio, but I wouldn't be surprised if magiceyes slipped some mp2/3/aac decoding assist hardware in there, especially considering the target market. This could give a big boost to video and audio playback time if it exists (and is utilized) as well...
