    Nintendo Sixty Fooooooooooooooooooour!

    its simple to do when emulating a system with hardware-transform, projections matrices with perspective are different from 2D/Ortho matrices. Ortho (HUD) matrices have [3,3] set to 1 to force the vector's [w] as 1, Perspective (3D Environment) sets the resulting [w] component to a factor of...

    Mweston Tries Out A Range Of Leds (Photo)

    could use some fine grained sandpaper to haze them. I had to cover the blue LEDs on many of my appliances because they were ridiculously too powerful, the worst was some wireless wiimote "sensor" bar's power led, it blindingly over-shined the TV right into my eyes when put on top of the tv.

    Thrill And Suspense : New Blog From Ed

    my theory is that the case maker is sub-contracting to maximize profits and the cheaper sub-contractor isn't as experienced, or like someone else said they're passing other more profitable contracts first. if the company isn't threaten with some kind of penalties for missed deadlines they wont...

    I'm Sick And Tired Of All These Delays!

    right on! take your time, get it right. I have a 400$ wince PDA here I can't wait to get rid of: crashes and drains the batteries when unattended ( its truly HCF-enabled), can't use/edit standard formats, shitty games, can't play videos, can't really surf the web, did I mention it crashes by...

    Porting From Nintendo Ds And Gameboy Advance

    I do. Hardcore Pinball GBA false writing to a RAM frame buffer and then calling glDrawPixels is not really that much different from writing to the VRAM frame buffer directly. if the game uses a frame buffer its really easy to port then. if the game uses hardware sprites and tile-based...

    Oh No Whate Have We Done, Tweet From Craig

    with OS 3.0 we can now use Bluetooth devices, maybe you could add a bluetooth HID interface chip and not need the jailbreak. I'd love to support it in our future games by pivotalblur.com

    50Hz Smooth Scrolling On Pandora?

    the mighty Exophase has spoken! let the word be known to NVIDIA, Matrox, ATI and the likes that Genlock (wikipedia) is completely useless and so unworthy that no one would need this feature ever. its so useless that they still sell GenLock devices for Amiga even today: G-Lock Genlock for Amiga...

    50Hz Smooth Scrolling On Pandora?

    it might be possible to sync the LCD to the emulator when running fullscreen rather than the usual emu-vsync-to-LCD. set the LCD for 30Hz refresh with a long vblank period and restart the LCD controller on screen updates / GL buffer swaps. if the vblank's scanline comparator can be reset live...

    Charge Other Device With Pandora?

    lol OK, WizardStan has officially given up on the physical rules of this universe. I blame this on the mold makers' time dilatation effects.

    Please Excuse My Ignorance

    its possible but its likely to run really slow. the PowerVR gpu is very fast as long as you don't do (render to textures / frame buffer capture) operations during rendering of the video frame. some of those effects require this technique and will need to be tweaked or disabled for the Pandora...

    What To Do With The First 105 Pandoras...

    see Bathtub_curve and Burn-in the 105 tested boards that survived (if any failed) have statistically less chances to fail once the customers get them than the 3895 other boards.

    Python/pygame Vs G++

    LOL, 100% with you there. I was commenting on how the same people who blindly complains about GOTOs (even well used ones) will say exceptions are a great invention even tho exceptions are in a sense extreme versions of GOTO with all the problems amplified. its one of the huge hypocrisies of...

    Python/pygame Vs G++

    shouldn't be using rtti and exceptions in a game engine anyway, rtti isn't really usefull for games and its too easy to live without, and exceptions are a really really bad idea, they're worst than any GOTO could ever hope to be. goto makes the program jump from point A (the goto) to point B...

    Python/pygame Vs G++

    for simple 2D games of the 8bit and 16bit era you can easily get good performance using Python/Pygame for AI control. C or C++ will be needed for decent 3D performances or more complex 2D games with physics.

    Do You Want To Kill The First 105 Pandoras Receivers?

    my first thought was "why does he wants to kill the wifi receiver circuit in the pandora?" :blink: Jealousy isn't nice. <_< rv6502@lin_home:~/> renice 0 Jealousy renice: Jealousy: bad value rv6502@lin_home:~/> see, Linux also offers moral guidance. :lol:

    Pandora Flash

    It might increase write performance, but who's really going to do HD video capture with a Pandora and SDHC cards ? for windows you'll need to use the Pandora itself as a USB drive, then it would work. not that I see the point, but why not. I did try "swapon /dev/fd0" once :lol:
