    Dying Your Gp32

Personally, I think painting or dying your case is a recipie for disaster. It will never look right and will eventually wear off or scuff. I am going to order some air hardening clay from an art store and attempt to make a mould of something disposable (like an old joypad casing or something...

    Help Replacing The Screen.

The blur is most likely caused by a small scratch on your light guide. You can't return it to GBAX. You were the one who screwed it up. You live and learn ;)

Found A Company That Produces Front Lights

I wonder where the people who made the afterburner kit got their supplies from.

Found A Company That Produces Front Lights

http://www.minebea-ele.com/en/product/ligh...000/E_3003.html I found this company while searching for a replacement light guide panel. They make really high quality front/back lights for use in PDA devices and cell phones. In fact as you can see, they already have a 3.5" frontlight produced...

    Choices

I hate the cheapness of the FLU switch. You can tell it's just a knocked together project. I would wait for the BLU.

    GP32 Tut3

npal should be in the file output from the GP32 convertor. The utility that converted your images into an array in a .h file. Is it there? It could be under a different name. Edit: The pallette won't be there if your source images aren't palettized.

    Cyclone 68000 And Castaway

Yeah, I use castaway more than any other emulator on the GP32. Some of the greatest Amiga classics were also released almost unchanged on the ST. I'm more anticipating chatboard support, as I've never felt that it ran that slow, but any optimisations would be nice. The more people who use...

    Portable Gp=able Harddrives

I have a 80gb external harddrive and it is extremely useful. One of the few impulse purchases that I use on a near-daily basis. I got an Iomega drive, and I would have to say that it wasn't at all cheaper than this device, so if this had been available at the time, I certainly would have...

    Help Me Win A Competition!

Sorry for the way offtopic, but I'm ripping my hair out here. And I thought you guys might have some fun with this anyway. http://www.dazgenetic.pwp.blueyonder.co.uk...ysteryVoice.mp3 All I need you to do is listen to the voice in the mp3 above. Then tell me who you think the voice belongs to...

    Zodiac...

The whole battery argument is totally bollocks. People said the same thing about the iPod but now you can buy thrid party battery replacements and there are plenty of guides for replacing the battery packs. I'm sure it's just as easy, if not easier, to replace the Zodiac battery(s). In fact...

GP32 Weird Flicker. Help Me Get Rid.

I don't use any SDK graphics routines at all. My graphics routines were all coded by hand. As you can read above though, my biggest problem is that all of a sudden, certain routines are totally acting up. Especially GpTickGountGet() which is only ever returning 1. To eliminate a memory...

GP32 Weird Flicker. Help Me Get Rid.

I can't use a third buffer since I am using 16bit buffers. And only 2 of those can exist.

    GP32 Something I Learned

Yeah, I kinda knew about the issue when n=1 but I never got round to fixing it since I never needed it to detect 1. Thanks for fixing that for me anyway. The code you have written seems to look very good and fast. I will certainly implement it. Will that second branch for n=1 slow it down...

    GP32 Something I Learned

Yes, 1/number is referred to as the reciprocal of the number. If you plan on dividing by a number more than once, it's always beneficial to find the reciprocal and then use multiply instead. This thread is turning out to be full of interesting tips. Let's keep it going! :)

    Game Gear

Both the Nomad and GameGear are awesome systems, but to be totally honest, I have more fondness for my Atari Lynx II. I bought it after seeing one in the audience of Bad Influence. I never really had that many games for it, but California Games on the Lynx was easily the best version on any...

Oooh.. These Guys Really Know How To Tease.

I've visited Infinium Lab's website today. I was checking to see if there was any further indication of whether this Phantom Console really is vaporware, as suggested by nearly every member of the gaming press. I was expecting little update to the site, but in fact the frontpage has changed...

GP32 Weird Flicker. Help Me Get Rid.

I am going to flip out.. All of a sudden, my application is doing the same thing that it was before I switched the libraries. The flicker is returning and If I call GpTickCountGet, all I ever get is '1'. I've commented out the entire code so that all it does is display the result of...

    GP32 Something I Learned

:), you're on form today.. I wasn't using that code in realtime, but It's a good optimization anyway. I actually learned that "n & n-1" check from an old programmer friend. I beleive he got it from one of those "graphics gems" books. I also have some quite nice Dithering code I picked up from...
