Nice selective hearing there. PSP has 8-10 hours battery life. The 2.5 hours is only for movies as the disc will be spinning constantly. For gameplay and music, the disc only spins when it needs to load.
Optmizing specifically for the CPU isn't always needed either. With the lack of an OS, the GP32's CPU is actually pretty quick.
Coding for the GP32 is done using one of the various SDKs out there, and in my experience, it is very straight forward. Everything is done by the CPU and there is no...
For ages, they were claiming dead cheap prices, with or without a service plan.
But since the e3, I have heard from a number of sources, a price of $350.
That, I'm afraid, is just fucking stupid and I welcome them to my pile of dead handhelds.
If I was able to actually be productive in Linux, then I would make the switch, but no matter how many times I have tried, I have always been something that has hindered my progress, or limited my productivity.
There just isn't a Linux alternative for a lot of the software I use practically...
yeah, the transparent bits in the top corners are the trigger buttons. Though i have been led to believe that the two small holes at the bottom of each side of the screen are speakers. And that circular thing is actually the analog joystick.
I could be wrong about this, but since there is...
Of course the DS pics are real. Most of them have come from the official Nintendo press site. They even have close up screenshots on there and I have to say that although it seems to have the polygon throughput of N64 games, saying it matchs n64 graphics is twisting the truth considerably...
The people who have voted for the GP32, really need to get out of thier hole and browse the internet a little. I know you all want to stick up for the GP32, but the system is extremely cheap looking. I love that the GP32 gives me what i want from a handheld, but if I were to rate it's looks, I...
Here is a quote from an official Sony Press release.
"In addition, software and data can be downloaded through a USB or wireless network onto Memory Stick™ PRO Duo. All of these features can be enjoyed on one single system."
Interesting?
The PSP *will* have wireless connectivity built in.. The DS does look interesting but the device looks cheap and nasty. I hope they revise the design (i have heard that the images aren't of the final design *phew*)
I suggest doing a search and find the EA PSP demo reel. If the graphics even...
There are debates over whether the circular thing under the joypad is actually a recessed joystick.
I would say that the Dpad is most likely analogue just like in the PS2 controllers anyway.
Well, since the system is designed around similar architecture to the GBA, the earliest games will just be ports of existing GBA titles, but with some second screen functionality tagged on. I really can't see this competing at all with the PS1 and PS2 ports that will be on the PSP.
I'm sure...
