    Release truecrypt port

Hey, Can you tell me how you did the port? I haven't coded (excluding perl/sh) since the Amiga days, but the panda has got me interested again. I setup a Ubuntu based dev toolchain and tested it worked with the SDL sample image display program. I compiled truecrypt from source for my...

    Release truecrypt port

http://dl.openhandhelds.org/cgi-bin/pandora.cgi?0,0,0,0,115,321 This is great for me. I move between windows and ubuntu a lot and use truecrypt data files to keep personal stuff accessible but safe on usb pens. So a big thanks to whoever did this one! Now I can really leave my laptop...

    Bluetooth Phone as GPRS modem

Hi, When I pair my Blackberry via the GUI I don't get an option to use it as a network connection. Here's how I got it to work: Nearly everything is run as root (sudo su) ~ # opkg list-installed| grep blue blueprobe - 0.18-r6.5 bluez4 - 4.62-r6.0.5 gnome-bluetooth -...

Internet connection via bluetooth with Win7

Ah! That may be the same for the Blackberry then. I got both working on windows but as manually configured dial up modems (over BT) I might play with Ubuntu first and then see if the principles can be done on the P. Any ideas on what /dev device I should be looking for?

    Lovely pandora! With slight flaw...

My A button is "squidgey" too. It works, but doesn't click in a nice positive way like the others. it feels like there is some extra resistance on it and sometimes I get a double press, say in an emulator that uses the A to select. So, dismantle or not? will it go away with use? or is...

    Wont Boot

I don't have my Panda handy to check but of=/media/mmcblk0/512Mb.swap makes me think you wrote into the mount point (the directory in nand) rather creating the file on the SD card itself, filling nand.

    Problems with my USB

Interesting. It might also cause some people to report a faulty usb port because the first device fails, and then they try testing succession of devices. If they don't reboot, then none will appear to work.

    Problems with my USB

I noticed that if I boot up fresh and plug in a "compatible" device (eg usb card reader) it works, but if I first plug in an "incompatible" device, dmesg gives the compliance complaint as expected BUT when plugging in the compatible device again, that new device will not work unless I...

Internet connection via bluetooth with Win7

Still no joy. I tried a nokia phone that I can also use as a bluetooth modem, and the option tickbox to "use the internet" just doesn't come up. dmesg doesn't give much away. Is there a /dev/ entry relating to the modem that should get created? I used to use minicom to AT stuff, so I...

    Squishy buttons. What to do?

My A button is the same. I have soldered and dismantled lots of small fiddly things, but I only just got my Panda, so I'm not sure whether to risk it yet.

    Which format for sd card?

Just used the SDFormatter to fully erase and format the 16 SD card. The card is blank and no errors on the PC dmesg on insert: [22539.719512] mmc0: host does not support reading read-only switch. assuming write-enable. [22539.727691] mmc0: new high speed SDHC card at address b368...

    Which format for sd card?

So, I'm getting weird behaviour (with Fat32). I have 3 SDHC cards: 16G SDHC, 16G SDHC MicroSD, 8G SDHC MicroSD I formatted them to Fat32 on Windows, and dragged across my pnd files and roms. The first day things seemed fine, but noticed the card wouldn't umount. Then the weirdness...

Internet connection via bluetooth with Win7

Ok, looks like VPN connections actually means "All other network connections" and under there, there is a tab for Mobile Broadband. It also has one of those annoying dialogues where the pop up is bigger than the screen size, so you can't click ok. I had to "move" the window way up to...

Internet connection via bluetooth with Win7

Hmm, thats sort of what I was expecting, but it goes through the pairing ok. My BB appears in the list of paired devices as type phone. The network icon on the pandora says No Network Devices Available I don't see any way to list the services available from the phone (on pandora) but I...

Internet connection via bluetooth with Win7

So, I have a Blackberry as my phone. I can use it as a bluetooth modem (3g) with my laptop (Win Xp) and my ipod touch (jailbroke), but my pandora doesn't give me the tickbox "use for internet access" It pairs ok with the Pandora, but can't figure out how to use it as a DUN device. ID

Post picks and first impressions of your shiny new Pandora here!

After two years and a few months, a box arrived this morning. I have my pandora. I had started to lose a bit of enthusiasm as the time ticked on, and as I got other gadgets to do the things I was planning to use the pandora for - an ipod touch (jailbroken to bluetooth tether my phone)...

    I'm Thinking Of Cancelling

I have to admit I hate the vast majority of the UK output soaps, "reality" show, public voting competitions - arghhh! BUT, I am still ok with giving the Beeb my license fee for no ads, and BBC3/4 documentaries eg. The Atom, The Cell, Absolute Zero, Story of Maths, and a ton of other really good...

    Real Eta Please!?

Same for me. I am due to fly transatlantic for the fourth time since ordering. Only thing is, I am due to fly on Monday, and if it's canceled, I'll lose so much money (cars/accommodation etc) that the price of the pandora will be spare change.
