    new portable game system announced

It's not just PalmOS, which is a great fast OS, but it also has that ATI graphics chip, so it'll be much faster and better at graphics than a normal Palm. I'm afraid this thing could kill GP32. :( It all depends on how easy it is for folks to develop on. If they're going closed source with no...

    EXTREME lag in Tomak...

It's normal. The game just isn't that well programmed IMO. It desperately needs autofire! Bad design. It could be better, I hope they do another patch fixing the slowdown, and adding autofire. I use rechargeable batteries too.

How did you fix the sound!?!

That is so freakin' cool! Thanks for that narration, really interesting. So not only did the sound get cleared, but you even gained another drop of speed. Sweet!

    gameboy advance

Heck no! Not only do I not care, I don't even want one. I have a GBA SP, I can already play GBA games just fine. Plus, I have serious doubts about how well GBA emulation on GP32 could be, not to mention potential legal issues if such a thing happened. I don't think Nintendo would stay quiet...

    WAAAAAAHH!!! He's done it!

Jeff nailed the sound problem in 0.6! :) Go download it from his site! NO MORE FARTS!

How did you fix the sound!?!

GREAT WORK! Please tell me how you fixed the farts. :) I have a tiny programming/technical background, and I'm extremely curious to know what was required to get the sound from point A (o.5) to point B (0.6). If you don't feel like elaborating that's fine, but I'll read as much as you feel...

    Rom for GPengine

I don't think this site wants people asking for ROMs here. Besides, you didn't even try! I just typed "pce roms" in google and well... Go try it yourself.

    Good News: GP32 & Flu & CPU @ 133mhz = 6 hours!

It's true! My 1800mAh rechargeables seem to be lasting FOREVER on my GP32 FLU. Battery times are better than people imagined with the light. :) BTW - what are the biggest capacity for these batteries? 1800 was the biggest at the store I went to. Are there more than 2000?

    rechargable GP32

There is no pack like that, but believe me it's not needed. Just get some high capacity rechargeable AA's. They work fantastically for me, I get many hours per charge. I also bought a nice combination multi-voltage AC adapter and 4 AA battery recharger. It goes perfectly with GP32. I also have...

LOL! *Points finger at any fool who bought GP32 just to pirate GBA games with it and LAUGHS!*

    Farty sound...

GPengine is a very good example of sound working well on GP32. They've got a LOT going on with that emu: 7+ Mhz CPU, fairly complex graphics hardware emulation, plus the PCE sound chip. The GP32 is pushing along at 133Mhz, and if you've loaded a 1MB game, memory must be under heavy use as well...

    Japanese developer going GP32 exclusive...

Well, that was expected tho. Nobody ever thought GP32 games wouldn't be cracked. There's always someone out there to do such things. What really counts are how many GP32 users do the right thing. I know I am, having bought a few boxed games and a bunch of JoyGP stuff today. I'm a good net...

    Japanese developer going GP32 exclusive...

Absolutely. There's no reason to pirate GP32 games. They're very inexpensive, especially using JoyGP, there's very few of them, and they're made by small independent companies mostly. Unlike Nintendo, you really do hurt people if you pirate GP32 stuff. The GBA isn't gonna fail because some...

    Japanese developer going GP32 exclusive...

"First of all, someone has been releasing rom/hacked imaged of commercial GP32 games around the net. This is really quite terrible, Gamepark cannot take a hit like this. I will support GP32 anti-piracy agendas in any way I can. Some good news from GP32 Notebook: Japanese doujin developer...

    Castaway and sound.. two builds?

Two binaries or one with options, either way is fine to me. But a question for you - when you say the sound is a weakness in the hardware, do you literally mean the machine itself, or the infamous SDK bug that supposedly causes pops? I guess what I'm really getting at is this - if the SDK is...

How many GP32 owners are there really?

Just saw the board stats, there are 615 registered members. There's probably hundreds of visitors who never register but just lurk or read the news page. If there really are only around 15,000 GP32 owners, then that's a pretty large percentage of non-Koreans. I really suspect there's many more...

    European Lauch = AWESOME!

The front page story about the European launch of GP32 is awesome! Finally, if it's true, we'll see more language translations, more development and more exposure for GP32 to the world. And maybe, just maybe, we'll see a USA lauch someday, not that I really care cuz I don't mind importing...

How many GP32 owners are there really?

I've seen numbers of 15,000 and 150,000 quoted. How many GP32's have really been sold I wonder? Anyone have accurate sales numbers? And how many registered users are here at GP32xtreme? I wonder what percentage of the total world-wide GP32 owners visit here. Surely non-Korean speakers must all...

    ZXAdvance GP32 :)

I don't see anything at gp32emu about ZXAdvance, only Speccyal K. I refreshed several times... Is it in the news or message board or where?

    Castaway Beta 004.5

Skeezix, you rock! =) Not just because you're doing such nice work on the emu, but because you're making the development process so much fun for all of us! Thank you so much for your sense of humor and constant posts. Us GP32 fans really appreciate the way you've been doing things.
