    GP32 3D?

    How many flat shaded polys and/or basic texture mapped polys could the GP32 probably render per second? Could it do something like, maybe Virtua Fighter or Ridge Racer? Of course that's probably more work than anyone would bother doing for GP32...

    Frontlit GP32 - worth spending more?

    The light version removes any drawbacks completely, even at night its perfect (i hope) Yes, you can see it fine in total darkness. It even makes a decent mini-flashlight. :P It's about as bright as a GBA SP, maybe a tiny bit brighter.

    GP32 .GXB vs .FXE - why compile one or the other?

    I tried LJohnGP today, my first time running a .gxb on my GP32. It worked great, I just ran it from GPFM (GPFM is simply amazing!). I hope some programmers can answer this, because I'm very curious - why choose to compile a gxb instead of fxe? Are there advantages that each has over the other...

    Donkey Kong!!! Which emulator...

    Considering how good fMSX32 is, I hope Rlyeh releases at least 2 or 3 more emus in next month or two. He does really amazing work! Altho, I have found some bugs in fMSX32 and it's missing a few important features like save states, but still, it's really, really good. He's very talented at emus...

    Game Makers

    MUGEN for GP32... *drool* That RPG Maker will be great, hopefully it'll work well and allow people to design their own graphics, sound and music etc. Hopefully we'll see some really interesting RPG's made by users. :) Maybe I'll give it a try myself, altho I claim no talent. ;)

    New NES emu i think

    Yeah, please fix the news! It's unfair to Yoyo to have that misreported. It has sound and it's really good too - even digitized effects work on many games! You just have to lower frame skipping, but there's some excellent sound emulation going on! I'm very impressed by this emu, if he can speed...

    Frontlit GP32 - worth spending more?

    I'm looking into getting a GP32, is it worth me spending a bit more on a Front-lit one?? Yes, I have a GP32 FLU. Are there any problems with having a non-front lit one? It's almost as dark as the original GBA screen - impossible to see well unless you're in a very well lit place. The FLU...

    New NES emu i think

    Ya know, I was one of the rare Americans who owned a Master System and NOT a NES! I had an Amiga, and so I decided to skip the NES. When the Master System came out I got that because I thought it would be like having an NES with slightly better graphics. Well, the SMS has slightly better...

    How to play music/sound in SCUMM?

    Weird - I get sound/music in Monkey Island 2, but not the other games?! Why? These are from my original store CDs.

    How to play music/sound in SCUMM?

    I have my Monkey Island etc. monkey.000 and monkey.001 files loaded on my SMC. I can play the game, but so far no matter what sound settings I try I get no music or sound. I put the volume bars up etc. Do I need to add more files from my original game CD's? Which ones? I have Monkey Island 1...

    The discount shop?

    Shipping from most Hong Kong stores is pretty cheap to the USA. And what import taxes? I've never paid any.

    The Gp32 Virus!

    I doubt it's a "Nintendo fanboy" or anything like that. More likely it's a disgruntled GP32 pirate - why? Because the GP32 scene has been particularly dismissive toward pirates, they don't get the "respect" that can be found in many other game console scenes. So they look to find other ways to...

    Saving data to SMC - how long does it take?

    Using SMS32, when you play a game that uses battery SRAM it automaticaly saves the data when you go back to the menu. How long does the saving take for you? It takes 9 seconds for me. Is that normal? Other programs, like Doom, also take about that long even tho the files are not large. Why...

    GBA emu straight and for all

    No. It could achieve maybe 20fps without sound and be able to load smaller sized games (32Mbit) only. And since GP32 has no graphics processor, it would have to perform everything the GBA's powerful 2D GPU does in software. Sound is even more work, as once again GP32 has to process everything in...

    Euros -> USD conversion?

    Awesome, works great, I'll bookmark that site! And for anyone else wondering - it's $270 USD. Now I know why so few people have black GP32's - that price is OUTRAGEOUS! I would've been willing to pay maybe an extra 20 or 30 dollars for black over the normal GP32 price, but $270?! Hell NO.

    Euros -> USD conversion?

    Shibuya Games has official black GP32's from Game Park, and they are listed at 230 Euros. I haven't imported anything from Europe before - how do you convert Euros to US dollars? What would 230 Euros be in USD? Thanks, and sorry for the dumb question. :o)

    Am I posting too much?

    I don't think anyone can post too much as long as they're sincerely posting about the topic matter, i.e. GP32. A user community needs enthusiastic users afterall to keep it fun.

    My GP64 will have...

    PocketPC's suck for arcade/action games. I have two, the most recent is an iPaq 1910 with 300Mhz (OC'ed) and 64MB RAM. Gorgeous screens, but PocketPC's appear to be slower than GP32 for gaming - probably due to video and/or memory interfacing issues. Most significantly, the controls are...

    NEOGEO

    "you0 will never see a true neo-geo emulator on the gp32. Neo-geo pocket is more than possibleat full speed with sound but9 the home or arcade version will never be seen on the gp32." Not true. NeoGeo MVS/AES is not the magical powerhouse people think. 12Mhz 68000 (Atari ST has an 8Mhz 68K as...

    My GP64 will have...

    Well, I know you're just joking about your GP64 wishes, but here's my wishes for a real next Game Park system: Keep in mind I'm thinking in terms of keeping it affordable and not too hard to power. 1) 300 - 400Mhz ARM CPU. It could clock down too of course to save energy. 2) 64MB internal...
