Yeah, That's understandable. Not so much force as to break it but if you push down the plastic moves slightly and can, in some cases be enough to stop the nub from catching.
Regarding your nub issue from your blog.. Have you tried pushing the case plastics down around the nub itself, ED said sometimes this can help greatly if yours feels a little gritty or feels like its catching.
I vote Pandora 2 too. It probably will take 2 years to produce.. just like any other console really. It will be far far easier to wait too because we will all have our Pandora 1.. also this next time it won't need to be blind faith that drives us to buy it.

Maybe try a fat or NTFS filesystem, You can format above 32GB in fat32 using something like Partition Magic from a boot disc like Hirens boot disc for example.

Just a long shot but maybe you can load disc 2 and modify the settings so it has the PE2 Fix enabled then load disc 1 load your state and swap to disc 2. Just to ensure the settings are in place on both discs.
