1. ### You didn't expect this, I guess.

Well I'd gladly believe that (and I'm doing my part to help of course) but I'm not the only one being sceptical about the numbers: (Source)
2. ### You didn't expect this, I guess.

Sure but when my gf found out on Friday that one of her colleagues tested positive she was told she has to wait until Monday to get tested because it's not an emergency. So I'm not sure how much those numbers are worth...
3. ### So, what's the current status of everything?

Admittedly I phrased my reply poorly so it can be read like that. What I was actually trying to contradict was his statement that DACs produce their output by adding up sinewaves of different amplitudes and frequencies which is just plain wrong (at least I have never come across or heard of a...
4. ### So, what's the current status of everything?

I have - no surprises there. A DAC fed a constant input value should have no problems outputting a constant voltage. If it can't do that, something is wrong with it. I'm not sure what kind of DAC you've used...
5. ### So, what's the current status of everything?

That's nitpickery, *nothing* can output *perfect* square waves. A maximum step from say 0V to 5V at 44kHz is ~0.22V/µs (if I didn't mess that up, I'm still not quite awake ^^) which is definitely doable with a good DAC. The first one I found right now can do 35V/µs for example. What *I* was...
6. ### So, what's the current status of everything?

Any DAC I've ever worked with has been perfectly able to output square waves (ignoring non-zero rise and fall times of course). A DAC basically just converts a number on an input to a voltage (usually, but it could just as well be a current) on its output - if the number on the input changes...
7. ### So, what's the current status of everything?

Yeah those are (most likely, haven't read them myself) rather old English which can be much more difficult to get into
8. ### So, what's the current status of everything?

You have a point there, but on the other hand: How else would you learn to understand those finesses of the English language? For me starting to read the Discworld books in English marked the point where I read/watched/listened to more and more original content and I'm pretty sure my English...
9. ### So, what's the current status of everything?

You definitely should! While the translators have done a great job on the discworld books, the English originals contain so much wordplay that's just impossible to translate.
10. ### Not much text here. Just a video.

Not at the moment but I don't think I need any more anyways XD I'm fairly certain he was just bein sarcastic.
11. ### Not much text here. Just a video.

Of course, you're right. After all I got my knowledge from "the man"!
12. ### Not much text here. Just a video.

How do I know? I'd say my Master's degree in electrical engineering would be a good start. I don't have to run experiments on something that just doesn't work with the basic laws of physics.
13. ### Not much text here. Just a video.

Just to make sure: You *are* joking, right? Please tell me you don't actually believe that unscientific mumbo-jumbo :|
14. ### Back from Greece

Yes, definitely. Especially for the price! I just love RPN calculators. Takes some getting used to, but it's really handy. I keep my HP-48 at home though and got a Swissmicros DM15 that I keep in my backpack. Way smaller and less valuable ^^
15. ### Back from Greece

I managed to snag an HP-48G on eBay for a low price a few years ago. My dad has one and I had been looking for years because it's so awesome. When it arrived it turned out it was professionally upgraded to even more RAM XD
16. ### Your requests for Pyra videos

Could also show Cube 2: Sauerbraten. That has a bit more impressive graphics than SuperTux XD. Doesn't make any sense while the graphics acceleration isn't working though...
17. ### Getting closer...

No put the solar panel over the screen to recycle energy XP

Suuuuuure...
19. ### Getting closer...

Yeah yeah right. So you're saying that if you had two Pyras, you'd really only have one running at a time?
20. ### Getting closer...

That wouldn't speed up the charging process though :p
