    Wireless 3g Card

You can't call with it, it doesn't have voice. You can send SMS though. You can call using skype out of course. Have ordered a Pandora so I will report how it works out. As for using a phone instead, my phone has a very small battery, and using HSDPA it doesn't last long at all.

Google Releases Source Code For Android

"Runs most Java apps", could you be more vague? It does not run Java bytecode, as it's Dalvik, not Sun JRE. This excludes all existing compiled Java packages from executing. As for existing Java source code, the actual language is the same but the class libraries aren't necessarily complete...

    Wireless 3g Card

Yeah that's a pretty reasonable assumption, so if that's the case it will at least be signal compatible with Pandora. I haven't seen any of the other Sony/Ericsson 3G modules working on Linux though. Hopefully this particular model raises interest because of the GPS.

    Case Space And Usb Modding

How much space is there on the back of the pandora? Would there be space to mod in another USB port? At the same time you'd fix the issues with low speed and full speed devices on the regular size USB port that's already there. A stripped down USB hub with no ports will hopefully fit inside the...

Google Releases Source Code For Android

If by slightly modified you mean entirely different. The Dalvik VM has no compatibility with Sun's JRE. You could probably port Dalvik to run on whatever Linux is running on Pandora though. I'd still like the entire thing to be honest, Android is already optimized for smaller systems with...

    Wireless 3g Card

2.0 is dubious. By full speed I mean full speed. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Usb

    Wireless 3g Card

I have a USB 3G modem (Huawei e272, Vodaphone branded) that works fine on Linux. Huawei e220 also works on Linux. I use wvdial to dial. The issue is really with power, as the full size USB port on the Pandora that delivers 500 MAh (500 is required for Modem to work correctly) doesn't support...

    Usb 1.1, 2.0, Otg. What's The Diff?

Seeing as how there will be hordes of people not understanding why their keyboard / mouse isn't working, I agree with Squidge, totally worth the cost. It might even have allowed two regular ports, which I would gladly have payed £20 more for.

Which Gps Device To Get For Pandora?

Why on earth would the most compatible USB port get the weird connector and the lowest power? Surely, mouse, keyboard, GPS or 3G modem will be the most common hardware to connect to the Pandora, all of them low speed or full speed. GPS or 3g modem will also require more than the power available...
