Update: I've come to suspect my card reader, and so in combination with GP2X USB link being a bit flaky anyway, I've decided to try and get a new card reader to rule that out...

OK, well I could reinstall the firmware I guess, but I've never changed it at all from new and it used to work OK. I'm just a little reluctant to mess with the firmware as I've had one GP2X die on me during the process, and particularly because it's difficult for me to format an SD Card to FAT32...
Thanks for the tip...
Good idea, but I've tried Picodrive and it's the same. What is it about the apps (or roms) that won't work that makes them different from stuff I'm having no trouble with?
I'm very confused...

Hi guys
Sorry to post such a dull topic, but I'm havijng a hell of a time with my GP2X recently and I was hoping someone would be able to help. Everything has always been fine with the unit, and after using a 1Gb Sandisk card, I upgraded to a 2Gb Viking card which worked fine.
After not using...
Hi guys
Just been to the Game On exhibition, currently on until 25th February at the Science Museum in London:

It was great, you get an hour and a half to play everything to your heart's content. It wasn't all the same stuff as the one a few...
I'm having terrible trouble adequately formatting my 2Gb SD Card for use in my GP2X. I'd love to see the firmware have a Card Format utility included, or a 3rd party app stored in the NAND, so we can format our cards to be 100% compatible without needing a computer. We used to be able to do this...
I'm pretty wary of upgrading the firmware since the last time I did it (to go up to v2) it bricked my unit and I had to get it replaced. I had previously upgraded fine from 1.2 to 1.4, but that last time shattered my confidence even though I did everything correctly - I can't afford to break my...
Great! I would LOVE to see this happen, Chu Chu Rocket is such a great little game and perfectly suited to the GP2X. Definately one to ease my Tube journies in the mornings!

Something like this with lovely Vektar or Rez style graphics would be pretty cool, add a good soundtrack and you'd have a great little interactive demo...

The only thing I would like to see is something done about the handling of volume in emulators (or any GP2X software I guess) to make up for the lack of a hardware sound control...
I'd like emulators to alter the sound by the same amount with the - and + buttons, ideally quite subtly so lots of...
I'm a graphic designer, so at home with Photoshop. If you let me know what sort of assets a skin would need and if I can find some source material from the old Terrahawks credits then I'd be happy to try and knock up a skin!
Message me if you are keen...

COLONIZATION!
I have been waiting soooo long to play this on the move. It just about works on the Amiga emulator but not brilliantly so isn't that playable, the DOS version would be great if performance was up to it and it would be that little bit more "authentic"!

Just bought a Viking 2Gb Card which seemed pretty cheap on Amazon, it's nothing special, but didn't cost the Earth and has been working fine so far...

Hi Guys
Just thought I'd let you know that I'm selling my last remaining issues of Commodore Format in a big bumper auction on eBay. There are 18 early issues and although the condition varies, I'd love them to find a appreciative new owner and be well read all over again. Have a look...
Strange...
I hadn't noticed any other problems with anything else but prBoom, but I've just started from scratch again with my SD card...
I've never tried SquidgeNES, so I'll try that and some other stuff and report back...
®
Well I can't get prBoom to work at all, it just goes black for a moment on launch and then kicks me back to the menu system. I tried the double buffer thing in the config file which Noidz suggested but it hasn't made any difference. Anyone got any ideas?

This is a great idea and would help a lot of people, as well as cutting down on the amount of SD card related posts on the forums, as a lot of people (including myself) seem to have had trouble with formatting the SD card correctly to FAT32. I guess the best thing would be a format option in the...
I've never bothered mounting the GP2X on my Mac, seriously you should consider getting a card reader, it's fast and saves batteries as you don't need the GP2X running while you copy stuff over...
