I used that app awhile ago on OSX, but forgot about it. I didn't realize there were non-OSX versions, thanks. It's a great app.
I think that has something to do with Xvid sucking rather than it not being encoded. Because I watched a video of the same length that was in much higher quality...
I went to watch some Xvid AVI files that were around 170MB in size and 490x368 and while the audio played the picture kept getting really blocky and weird. I'm assuming it's because I didn't encode the videos down to the Wiz's native resolution of 320x240.
I hate looking around and trying a...
So I decided not to return my Wiz, the sticky button is kind of annoying. But it's not too annoying to just not press down on the edge of the button. Plus I didn't want to have to wait who knows how long for a new one to be shipped out to me and to pay for shipping.
There are still some bugs to be worked out with the various emulators, for example a few of the games I've tried to play either won't work or have serious bugs. But for the most part everything runs the way it's supposed to and your right.
Does anyone else think that the Genesis emulator is by...
Mine was only like that the first day and was only noticeable when most of the screen was black. Looked like a burned in image or some weird unreadable letters. But it was completely gone by the second day.
For some reason when I go into test mode and view the solid white screen I see all these...
If the price difference isn't really an issue and you don't care about being able to output your games to the TV, get the Wiz. If you want to ouput to the TV, get the Dingoo.
Although the TV out so far only works with the emulators that are built into the system, it doesn't work with Dingux...
Maybe, but this forum is used by Wiz owners in general. The person who got a defective model might be more likely to post a response. But I would think that both would be equally as likely to vote in the poll.
If you've been following my situation this thread I'm debating whether or not I should pay to have my Wiz shipped back for repairs/replacement
One thing that I'm paranoid about is the possibility of them replacing it and shipping back a new unit that has some sort of defect that's even greater...
As long as I don't press down on the X button at the edge I'm good. It's just that pressing it down from the side comes naturally wheras I have to kind of think about it for a split second to press down in the center. My parents say that they're probably going to tell me that as long as the...
I tried opening mine up but didnt' get any farther than removing the battery. The screws are just so small that I don't have anything small enough to get them. Even if I had a screw driver small enough to get those screws out I'd be kind of afraid to open it up that something wouldn't go back...
I know that a lot of electronic devices these days have seals on the inside so the company can tell if you tried to open yours up and thus voided the warranty if you tried to return it. Does the Wiz have any such feature?
I asked a couple of friends at school and they noticed the button sticking as well, so it's not just me being obsessive.
The games that use the X button are pretty annoying. I was just playing Metal Slug Advance (which doesn't even require uber-fast firing) and I was getting kind of annoyed...
As far as I can tell I neither DHL, UPS, or FedEx will ship from my location to the part of China where it says on the guy's warranty section on his Ebay page says that it ships to. So if I decide to return it it'll most likely be through USPS.
I checked USPS's website and I can ship it back priority class for $13. But on the guy's Ebay page it says "we will provide you with detailed instruction for returning". So if I tell him I want to ship it back he might request that I use DHL/UPS/FexEx, which is probably going to cost more than...
Has anyone else noticed a face button (A, B, X, Y) on their system being considerably harder to press down than the other buttons on their Wiz? For me it's the X button. It's not to the point where it's unusable. But if I were playing a game that required extensive use of that button and in...
Just so you guys know, even if you set the screen to power off after 60 seconds in the settings menu that only applies to when your not in an application. When in an application the app's settings overwrite the console's.
