Maybe there's a background daemon launched by the stock launcher that I don't know anything about...
If someone has some clear information about this issue, let me know.
Disabling disk write notify wouldn't change a thing.
The led is controlled at application level, not by the firmware (this is if things didn't change in fw3.0) so if it worked it's because of the application that was running at that moment.
The battery led is used now to notify of disk writes, but even if I change this behaviour to notify of low battery life, it will only work when gmenu2x is running so it won't solve your problem
Yes it an interesting idea but I fear it could make GMenu2X too complex configuration-wise
I'll think more about it when the time comes, since there won't be a lot of new features in next release anyway.
@CoMiKe: I did undestand your suggestion, I simply did not comment about it. Some way to speed up link creation would be fine. I'll take your idea into consideration.
@Tripmonkey_uk: I'll add both options (jpeg and loading progress) and maybe I could reset the clock speed to 200Mhz when loading...
I find most of yous suggestions interesting.
I'll add the icon preview for sure.
Reordering the links is not as easy. All the arrangements would be easier with a totally different management, and I'm thinking about a sqlite backend as I hinted some releases ago.
This has also some drawback...
Check back the link after you save it. It really works that way. But you have to select the icon from the current skin, it will not work with other skin directories.
As jose said it's a problem with the fat filesystem. You can try changing the names by hand by renaming the directories of the sections.
Part of the problem is caused by a missing mount option "shortname=winnt" that makes fat partitions more "case" friendly. I hope it will be taken into...
It's been a while but here's GMenu2X 0.9!
This version introduces:
Ram timings
You can now apply the famous ram timings tweaks from inside GMenu2X for every link, without having to write complex scripts.
Translations
GMenu2X is now also available in the following languages: Italian...
I can't see any obvious error either, the only thing I am noticing is your use of the inline functions.
They are probably safe as they are but it's a better practice to use them as shown below:
1. Code specified in the class body but WITHOUT the inline keyword (it will still be inlined)
CODE...
Seems like BaseState is not recognised as a class by the compiler.
Be sure that the include is correct and that BaseState is correctly defined there.
Try posting BaseState.h here if you still have the problem.
I think it would have been a good idea to let the competition end after the summer vacations so that even busier developers would have had time to code something.
I'm interested in partecipating but I don't know if I can make it for july 7.
That's because external hds are mounted by the interface instead of being mounted by the firmware as it should be.
I'll support them for the stable 0.9, and I'll probably release a test3 version before that.
Bug.
Just to clear things up. The wallpaper list shows the wallpapers found in "skins/[current_skin]/wallpapers" first, and then wallpapers found in "skins/Default/wallpapers", so I suggest to add custom wallpapers there and they will always be available.
Actually it gives precedence to the icon...
