great thread, ive searched for "best/favorite/top psx games" on google so many times, I think I've found almost all of them... anyways, here is my list: Crash Bandicoot Series (including team racing) Einhander (best game for psx, imo) Grand Theft Auto (the originals) Grind Session (Like Tony...

    Another Cool Handheld Pmp/emu

http://www.pmptoday.com/2007/07/28/gemei-x...photos-at-last/ looks interesting, and stats sound pretty good. QUOTE The screen is a 3-inch 4:3 LTPS TFT with 16 million colors. It’s compatible with RM, RMVB, DAT and AVI video files. The 500 MHZ CPU ADI BF533 makes sure the PMP can handle...

GP2X Can Someone Please Explain Subversion (svn) To Me?

i believe i found what I was looking for - instead of using subversion, I'll use CVS, which is a much simpler solution, which doesn't have all the features, but still has everything I need. Once I figure it out, I'll be sure to write a very clear and thorough tutorial / article on the process...

GP2X Can Someone Please Explain Subversion (svn) To Me?

This is semi gp2x related, since it's for development in general - and since this appears to be the most active forum regarding development in general, I figured a few of you are familiar with subversion and other version control software, so please help! (mods, if there is a better place for...

    The Cowen Q5

im not crazy about the CE thing either, but having an actual USB in is just great - no adapters or breakout cables needed to hook up a controller.

    The Cowen Q5

despite the lack of actual controls, this thing looks awesome. Its a divx/xvid/mp3 player with wireless, usb in/out, etc. and thats good and all... until I came across this: http://board.cowon.com/zeroboard/zboard.ph...mp;bmenu=iAUDIO now I'm sold.

    Question About Scummvm

i'm not familiar with the engines that run these games, only the games themselves. the reference to FreeSCI was what I was looking for. I just wondered why a game as rich and big (almost 1gb) as COMI could run without problems (except for being a tad bit slow) - while a much simpler game like...

    Question About Scummvm

I recently got a copy of Curse of Money Island running, with full sound and etc. on my gp2x using scummvm - my question is - why is it that a graphically rich, and audio filled game like Curse of MI is playable, yet games which seem to be simpler (freddy pharkas, lsl 2+, Gabriel Knight...

    Video

ive used lots of software - vdub is great, but sometimes it just has too many options. my favorite program ended up being tmpgxpress (mainly for mVCDs / kVCDs), which i used for a long time - but now I'm so picky, i just download the exact copy of something i want, or I use GKnot (Gordian Knot)...

I'd Like To Start Developing - Which Sdk?

hmm, i read on the gph dev forums a little more about the official SDK, and it sounds like it's pretty much C++ syntax, am I correct? GLBasic is more up my alley, although it appears to be very game-oriented. I'm sure it's capable of much more, however neither the site nor the forums mention...

    Kravengp2xrippack

i tried it out, and although the settings are great for a fast, small encode - the quality was horrible. I was using some decent source files, however every time the result on the gp2x was very pixelated, to the point of being unwatchable.

Mpc2x - Mpd Client For The Gp2x Handheld

wow, this thread just got my heart racing - since i'm familiar with the Akai MPC (MIDI Production Center), and Akai also makes an input device called the MPD that's modeled after the MPC.. then I read mpc2x.. obviously, not what I was expecting, but awesome nonetheless

I'd Like To Start Developing - Which Sdk?

For a little background - I started programming in the 90s, my first "program" being a nibbles mod, followed by a gorilla mod (for all my qbasic ogs). From there I got into visual basic 16 bit and did lots of windows 3.1 programming, getting very familiar with the API calls (anyone remember...
