Unusually Easy F100 Mk2 Joystick Mod.

I don't think so. The cap itself is mounted at the same point as normal, in that the metal shaft is still inserted as far as it will go into the cap. so for some reason not having that long plastic 'outer' shaft fixes things. It's still got the same dead area in the centre of the throw, but now...

Unusually Easy F100 Mk2 Joystick Mod.

No worries, I kind of fell into this fix to be honest. But it's freakily good, and I hope it works well for you. Please post if it does, it would be good to get this out into the community. Incidentally, I can think of no reason for this to work so well, but work it does!

Unusually Easy F100 Mk2 Joystick Mod.

I sanded the cap's shaft just a little more, about 1mm more than the original photo. It's working ridiculously well now, I'm having absolutely zero issues. I took a photo of it mounted so you can see what I'm talking about. I totally recommend this to anyone who, like me, is scared of...

Unusually Easy F100 Mk2 Joystick Mod.

Yep, all I've done is pop off the joystick cap, and then shave a little off the cap's shaft. If you look at the photo, normally that plastic shaft would be quite a bit longer.

Unusually Easy F100 Mk2 Joystick Mod.

Excellent, I'm stoked it worked for someone else. I thought maybe I just got a rubbish unit. And the weird thing is, I can think of little reason for it to work. I thought initially the shaft of the pad was so thick that it was butting against the facia. But no, it was clear. I think I'll...

Correct, this is what I did to the joystick. Your mileage may vary, but this has made my GP2X fun.

Unusually Easy F100 Mk2 Joystick Mod.

The stick on my F100 Mk2 had always annoyed me, and I was looking at maybe upgrading to an F200 just for the pad. I mainly play Mame, and the lack of response often shows up in 8-way shooters, with the ship getting kind of 'locked up', not wanting to move at all for a second or so. So I...

    Alexkidd2x V0.6

Nice one Puck. Hey is there any chance at all of integrating SG1000/SC3000 support in a future release? Even if not, thanks for this great emulator!

    What Systems Are Still Unemulated?

Sega MkIII, aka Sega SG1000/SC1000 (forerunner to the master system), as far as I'm aware is still not supprted. I for one would love to see this system emulated, as I had one back in the day. The GP32 had Park-o-rama which was very stable, but so far no-one's picked up the ball.

    Mame Gp2x 3.9

    1) This is a fantastic release. I've not upgraded for a while, and this is blowing me away. Donkey Kong with clean sound! 2) Ok, I realise I may be the last surviving gamer who actually likes, nay loves Journey... but it keeps rebooting. For sure it'll be waaaaaay down the list of priorities...

    Not Reading Any Sd Card

Sounds like you have a bent pin in your GP2X card slot. There's a thread somewhere about it - the Xmas 2006 batch have a common problem with bent pins. Search for the tread and good luck!

    Sg1000/sc3000 Emulation

Actually the Sega SC3000 was released in New Zealand and Australia, and was very popular. I had one, and a bunch of cartidges, a colour plotter (!) and tape drive. They sold a bunch of neat peripherals. It had a really top-flight basic cartridge with full layered sprite support. There was even...

    Sg1000/sc3000 Emulation

Personally Argor I have no problem waiting for any dev to create anything! I think it's an historically important machine to emulate, so it would be great to see you come up with something.

    Sg1000/sc3000 Emulation

I had a Sega SC3000 back in the day, loved it. Park-o-Rama took care of SG/SC emulation on the GP32, but there seems to be no support for the GP2X. Which is a shame, as it's a great wee system that predates the MS and has heaps of nice titles. Anyone have any information on development or is...
