    Franxis Mame 2.6 Ini File

Hey Ant, I was in your shoes recently, and it forced me to open an .ini file in TextEdit on my Mac. It's a very simple file - take a look you'll see. Once you see how simple it is you'll realise how easy it is to make it look how you'd like and do what you'd like.

    Amiga Port Still Needed

C'mon, Atari ST works great through Ginge, and everybody knows the ST was better than the Amiga... (quietly backs out of the bar, sprints to the nearest cab out of Dodge) Seriously, it would be great to have a nice stable release.

About To Buy A Caanoo. Questions.

The thing with all of GamePark's consoles, going right back to my GP32, is that there's always, always some glaring hardware issue. With the Caanoo it's the bezel - it's annoying the way it cuts off a few pixels. With the Wiz it's screen tearing, with the original GP2X it was the stick, with my...

Pocketsnes 7.2.0 For Wiz, Caanoo And Gp2X

My Caanoo does the same thing. The menu shows, I get a buzzing which the volume slider will not alter, and the unit locks up. I'm running firmware 1.5 What are you running mmielke? I may need to upgrade. EDIT: I can start the compatible version from the Explorer.

How To Save Preferences In Mame4All

Ok that must be it, cheers crow_riot. I've got a few versions of Mame on the card so maybe I've mixed it up - I'll clean it.

How To Save Preferences In Mame4All

I'm really enjoying Franxis' latest version for Caanoo - I hadn't updated in months. I am wondering though, is there a way to save preferences (screen orientation etc) for individual roms, and a way to save globally (for all roms), like you can in most emulators? I haven't found mention of...

    Franxis' Homebrew Projects

Yeah that would make sense Ruffnuts, cheers mate, but I don't see a .ini file when I decompress the Caanoo Mame .7z file. Edit: just saw your reply there. Ok I'll have to figure out how to do that. I'm such a drag-and-drop user.. Edit again: Got it, that was easy! Cheers man. :)

    Franxis' Homebrew Projects

I must be missing something really obvious here: with this version of Mame on Caanoo, I'm not sure how to install. All my other Caanoo emus have a folder and an .ini file which I put in the game folder. What am I screwing up here?

    Caanoo-Vectrex : Vectrex Emulator For Caanoo V1.1.1

So, I guess thanks to some dork we're all on our own with the overlays. If anyone has an idea of what to do with them I'd appreciate sharing of sizing info'. A lot of work to do, especially as I have little experience with such things, but dammit I want my Vectrex with overlays, so I'll work...

    Caanoo - A Fail Console?

I've seen that happen with one of my (many) SD cards. Cheap manufacturing I guess, just glued together? Mine split just like that. Still worked though!

    Caanoo - A Fail Console?

Returning to the original post, I was an early adopter of the GP32, the GP2X(F100) and now the Caanoo. And it's easily as good as the GP32 was in it's day, insomuch as it has an exceptional controller and is very very easy to load up with emulation goodness. Although, apparently having to...

I just set everything up exactly as it was on my GP2X card - i.e. folders at root level on GP2X I put at root level on Caanoo. Check the readme's for each one.
