Sometimes it won't read your batteries are low, it only will show up if they are low.
Also it is VERY dim. It is really hard to see under just about any light that is not pitch black.
Hey craig, do you think we could ever see a multipack of games that would help lower the price?
Also a download version would be nice, but I understand DRM is hard.
I don't want to have to carry around 2 sd cards, I bought a nice big sd card so I could fit everything on it.
I would understand if these became some really big like 200mb+ games then I would not be too upset about carrying another card but I see no reason with the big SD cards there are out...
Hey all this sounds really great and awesome but do you have any numbers for us? Are we seeing any higher fps's?
Well keep up the great work can't wait for the next version.
I don't know, it does not look deep enough with big enough outer ridges for me.
The gp2x logo also does not look like a great grip.
I will wait to see what people say about the cap.
But as of now I think I will beg DaveC to bring back his cap as it is way better (at least it looks) and it does...
Why would you want to write to the nand anyway, its what 40mb left? There really is no point in even putting anything on there.
I encourage you to prove me wrong though.
I too hate GTA games, why the fuck did I buy the collectors edition (1, london and 2) I don't know. Nor do I really like the GTA III+ games besides just goofing off with them at a friends house for 10 min.
BUT this game is SOOO different. It is more like an action game, a shoot them up of...
Just to clarify it sets it back down to 100mhz on the menu and then back up to 200mhz when you enter the game.
Idealy each game with have an overclocker built into it, so you can do it within the program instead of running one, quiting, and then booting up the other.
For me I use AAC so 128kbs is really good, 160kps is super great and 192kbs is the max for me.
I do recomned VBR if you use mp3's also, gives the quality a nice boost.
Trust me the explosions WILL be fine in the final version. This game was originally made for the Amiga, then Mac, and then GBA. The gba version runs great at about 20fps.
For some reason I think our good old gp2x can out run a gba, especially if there is support for the 2nd processor. Also...
Wow!!!! This is great, runs awsome on my iMac g5 with my ps2 controller. I had to modify the resolution to just get the dumb file to start though (it was 1280 by 800, and I don't know of any mac that supports that I changed it to 1440x900)
It also took me awhile to figure out the joystick...
While I am no coder, I think some people can do better then having 250 different files for just one game. I find it really slow to transfer and I am sure it frags up your card even more too. Theres really no excuse to have over 50 files for one game, unless you have loads of music and videos...
