I'd swear that the LCD had a mode that flipped off half the pixels and dropped the resolution to 400x240. With the pixel pitch (from a reasonable viewing distance) it wouldn't matter too much and should (in theory) save a fair bit of power.

Hey all, my search skills apparently suck on forums. I can't find anything about the low power or low resolution mode on the LCD to conserve power anywhere. I know there were like 3 freaking threads about it too. If any of you could link me that would be great.
Why not just bring the DVM (dalvik virtual machine) to the pandora. If we do that we don't have to reboot into Android to run Android apps that'd be pretty sweet.
But then again, is the DVM going to be open sourced as well?

It's a business. I don't see the point in spiting them for staying in business.
+500 very good point. Becuase if you feel like "I only have to do just this one more simple thing" and then quit.... that's a bad idea. There are usually some interesting problems that crop up doing that one last simple thing that provide great learning lessons.
