CLEARLY the emulator everyone should focus on should be.....

Mess would be quite a good one for the older machines. Debian seems to have a package in it's Arm branch. http://packages.debian.org/search?arch=arm&keywords=xmess-sdl The emulators that really have me hyped are the PSX and Amiga ones. Hopefully the Amiga emulator will be able to handle the...

So What Do You Expect It To Do?

What I expect from start: Basics: gmenu2x type shell, probably with a terminal built in somewhere. Not a full fledged linux distro yet. Solid emulators for the classics: snes, nes, mega drive (genesis to the US folk), etc etc (fairly rapidly I imagine people would port over the remaining gp2x...

Hypothetical Situation: If 3000 Is All That Ever Get Made...

Yes. We would have developed flying pony poo shields. Saving Private Ryan never would have been made though. I'd be quite happy if just one got made. Mine :P

Status Of Psx4gp2x Work Being Done :)

What About Linux ? I initially used actoneiso2 to rip my psx discs. http://www.acetoneteam.org/central.html They worked well with previous betas. Now they do not seem to work at all. Anyone know the best command line for ripping psx cds under linux. Brilliant work though.

Status Of Psx4gp2x Work Being Done :)

    Snes And Nes Rereleased !

Good point. I don't actually have a SNES or NES for that matter. (Have a 3do, megadrive, saturn, jaguar, master system, ps2 (for ps 1 games) and a N64) but not a SNES. I do enjoy collecting but am not obsessive about it. The nice thing about good retro games is that many of them sold well and...

    Snes And Nes Rereleased !

It is the FC X2 one that looks best. After all it has Pal output. There again I could get a cradle for the GP2X and a USB pad. Or possible eventually get a chipped xbox for a wide selection of emulators ... Come to think of it. NTSC games on the GP2X, with TV out do they play fine on a Pal TV ?

    Snes And Nes Rereleased !

I have to admit I am quite tempted if I can get on in the UK cheap enough. Cheaper than getting and xbox modded. NEO FC X2 game console SPEC: * Support FC and SFC(SNES) on one console * Use SFC joypad to control FC games * Have NTSC and Pal-B 2 system can be choose * Have 110V and 220V 2 AC...

    Mech Warrior Or Iron Soldier

Thanks for the tips. The Mega Drive Battletech looks like it should be fun. Not so keen on the SNES one for some reason. Had forgotten about Front Mission ( I did a Translation SNES Pack for a little known Torrent site :) so I have no excuse for forgetting. Think I will install Win98 on an...

    Mech Warrior Or Iron Soldier

Just got Ring Of Red for the PS2 recently, which I am enjoying thoroughly. It reawakened my taste for big robot / mech games. My first thought was Mechwarrior 1 on dosbox for the gp2x but it does not seem to work currently :( I tried finding the DOS version of MW2 but it was nowhere to be...
