    Announce: Nethack 0.51

Oh, i forgot to say in my last post: "Thank you for releasing GPA killer version 3.4.3 ...damnit :) " seriously, good stuff mate, keep it up. Edit: oh, is there any reason why you can loot your pet? the little dog was chilling next to me, and i was apparently able to loot him...whatever that...

SLASH'EM is nice, but what Add-ons are included in this current port, aside from the gui? also, are there any other tile downloads available?

    A Sport Game

I was thinking this would be a cool idea, if a programmer coded a sport game (maybe around SNES quality, but thats up to the coder in question). updates could be done via an editor that could bring it up to speed with the current teams. personally i like the idea of basketball, or...

    Gpfce V0.2 Released

A really great piece of software. I'm impressed at how rapidly it became the best NES emulator to date on the gp2x. The only thing i would say it requires would be a menu, and a better gui aside from selector. while selector is great program, it does not replace a well formed gui. Aside from...

    How Long Before Recharge?

i got a set (6 batteries) of 2.3k mAh Ni-Mh Panasonics for $11 at my job the other day. set one is still running strong at max charge after OCing my GP2x at 266mhz and playing some PCE games for about 3 hours or so. i'm also running FW2.0. anyone know offhand how much the consumption dropped...

GP2X The Gp2x Bounty - Make Your Wishlist Here!

well, assuming its possible, the Quake2 engine Quetoo should be probably considered. Controls could be the same as the Quake 1 port (assuming that there are no massive control changes between the versions). I dont own quake2 so i'm not particularly interested in it (though if a port existed...

    GP2X Gpadvance On The Gp2x

"oh noes! they left teh gp2x0r for teh gizm0nfo!" fixed it for ya =)

    Nk Qtopia For Gp2x

i was thinking more of NTP. if we had some sort of wifi or something, it'd probably be pretty simple to sync to an NTP server (the windows one looks promising =) i was kinda wondering about this though, considering that games on the GBA and later games on the GBC used the RTC function, how can...

    Speedhacks

i was actually convinced flubba and loopy were not mortals under any circumstances. PocketNES and NESDS are shining examples of what NES emulation should be on portables. if it were possible under my own power, i'd port that software at the first chance i had. (though, instead i'm looking at the...

GP2X Standardise Directory Tree For Gp2x?

one thing is, linux is case sensitive. which is irritating, 'cause DrMDX uses /Roms/megadrive as the directory, whereas, everything else uses /roms. the trade off? working the emulators that have configs use /Roms/{system here} instead of the usual /roms/ or, dont do anything and avoid the...

2nd Cpu, Utilised Much In Emulators?

it was a samsung S3C2400x (rev1.1) chip. not an arm CPU.

GP2X Gp2x Wifi Via Mini Bob

ok, i had an interesting idea, why not take a USB wifi stick, and a mini BOB and replace the battery cover with something of a hack, (think of the PASSme versions... if you know about DS homebrew) such as: 2 ipod 3g batteries (each are 3.7v and 750mah or something) step them down to +5v for...

    GP2X Java On Gp2x?

Looking at it, the chipsets for the phones probably aren't even above 66mhz. Thinking about it, the phone is probably one of the worst things for games, (the ngage aside, but then again...).

    Hardware Mods And Utilities

Where do you get the 3rd gen batteries from? and is there a cheaper solution than those (iirc those li-ions were $45 a pop and lasted 250 charges)

    Xorg With Breakout Box

for one thing, with a portable breakout box design, you can carry around the bluetooth laser keyboard (if you have enough cash for one =/ ) and a bluetooth adapter, or one of those badass rollup usb keyboards. mouse is a bit more sketchy, there really isn't any sort of portable trackball or...

Wouldn't It Be Cool To Get An Internal .85" Hdd

considering the fact that 2gb and 4gb SD cards are outside the SD spec and only a few 2gb cards are supported as of right now, its hard to say if you could ever get a 4 (or if they will ever make it) 8gb SD card, because the SD spec would need to be rewritten for it to include such devices. not...

Anyone Working On The Nes Emulators?

what the hell flashcart are you using? i have a XG2 turbo (not the plus model) and the burntimes for it are like 15min. for the entire 512M on it. if anyone wanted to do this, its based on loopynes, which was also written in c/c++ which i also believe a linux version exists for.

Anyone Working On The Nes Emulators?

ok then, ignore the frame limiter then. the rest has to be written, though i dont think its opositivly out of the question, the work on it would be more than the "simple" emulator ports done. inho, it'd be worth it, its one of the only homebrew programs i run on my GBA. (that and goomba color)

Anyone Working On The Nes Emulators?

Pocketnes is mostly C with a tad of C++ and ASM. The ASM bits are the things that could be (reletivly) easy to recompile (mostly the mappers) since the ARM7tdmi and the ARM920T both are from the same gen of code, and both have a thumb unit. as far as i know, the only things that would have to be...
