I'm planning on writing a piece of software that will act as a reconfigurable wireless midi controller.
I'm planning on having it so that you can drag custom controls onto the screen and link them to whatever midi parameters that you want.
Not sure it will be exactly what you're looking for...
Saw Semi-Pro the other day. I found it pretty funny, but then again I'm into basketball. Damn the UK's pitiful NBA coverage- 1 game a week is not enough! Wanna see the Celtics play more...
201% is the ultimate goal. Prrrrrriiiiingaaah. On your left now, you can see Sanity as we drive by...
This forum will become serious when the Pandora is released. Really.
Uh-huh. It will!
I spent £1300 (I guess about $2600!! on a macbook pro... although I do stress it to the max so I guess it's worth it.)
That's a nice buy though- It'd make a great net browsing machine or dev machine. Stick Ubuntu on there! I had ubuntu on a Thinkpad T20 (about that spec) and it flew!
You could possibly use some kind of sound library such as AdPlug (an adlib emulator) or something along those lines to synthesize the sounds of the midi instruments, but you'd need to write some intermediate code in order to translate the midi data into data for the plugin.
