Nice post!
EDIT: I meant to add this.
I say the first preorders should get their cases first and with the best quality then work your way down. So the one person that just decided to help this project will get a lower quality case when they should (later then others)
Thats actually a big problem with the price going up. The Pandora at $330 is a good deal, at $350-$370 I would actually have to use it before I dropped the money to see if it is worth it which probably won't be able to happen. I am pretty much the only person at my work that knows about the...
The difference between what you are talking about and the Pandora is how much of the device was only concept before making it. The main board in the Pandora is already premade but was heavily modified. Keymat was an awesome but simple idea. Screens already developed. Operating system once again...
Skeezix,
Thank you for your thoughts and opinion. It is much appreciated. Everyone's work on the Pandora is amazing and I think many people here take that for granted. Keep up the awesome work, but don't neglact the kids and wife in the process.
From looking at the specs requirements I don't think these games will run very well on the Pandora without major changes. I would love to see these on the Pandora though.
I think you missed the point of his post. He was basically implying that the Pandora is way more powerful than the PSP but yet quake gets 12FPS on the Pandora and 22 FPS on the PSP. But no one mentions what settings and such hence Craig's comment about resolution. I just sold my PSP and didn't...
No actually it is exactly 2.9411764705882352941176470588235 times the resolution. Not over 3 times. Not trying to be a smart ass but your comment could have been worded better. You try to make the Pandora sound like the holy grail of gaming handhelds which right now the PSP has it beat...
You know what the irony of this whole situation is? People who pre-ordered are getting the shaft, the people who order from the second batch will get their units sooner (I would certainly hope so) and with silkscreening cause OP would be dumb to not do silk screening on the second batch.
So...
I hate to be the one that says this but the PSP is already doing this and doing it well. Granted you can't really organize your games the way you want on the PSP but things work just the way you mention. Example
Games
/PSP/Game/Quake/
/PSP/Game/Quake/Quake.eboot
/PSP/Game/Quake/Data/Quake.pak...
Heres another question to add to the thread. How would you even know someone overclocked their Pandora? How would one be able to tell a Pandora was ever or is overclocked if it is dead? Just a thought. I agree with what ever someone said earlier, if TI warrants over clocking then so should OP...
I would like to do voices for games. I don't have any experience other than sitting around and doing voices for no reason. I can send samples if lines are given to me to read. I can do two characters against each other and stuff like that. I can do multiple voices.
