Many people here like myself first PAID for the device in september of 2008. That is a very long wait. I have been waiting for 16 months. Am I out of patience, yes I am. There is nothing I can do but wait. This is my dream device so I just hope it does finally get to me soon.
This is crappy news but what am I going to do. I want the pandora very bad, its my most anticipated item. Waiting in a preorder line this long and still getting bad news makes me want to break something!
I am also fustrated by the delays. I have paid them damn near 16 months ago. You can put me on the "nagging wife" list with "where the hell is it".
I do want the device to be perfect and I am willing to wait, but a 16 month preorder is just insane.
I am glad I am going to CES next week so I can forget about my pandora for a few days. Hopefully when I get back we will have the green light on the cases.
I never said CPU, so dont assume that I am talking about that. I am talking about the sound chip itself and its ability to run apps with a latency under 20ms. Most built in sound cards for a PC that I have seen have a latency close to 1000ms. I doubt the sound chip for pandora is better than...
I can see some simplisitc recording software of maybe even a virtual instrument or two, but I dont see the pandora sound chip being able to handle a lot with low latency.

Another huge LBA fan here. I would really love to see LBA2 on the pandora. I doubt dosbox has the power to do it.

Maybe this would be possible to port to pandora but I am not sure.
I am driving up on January 6th. I will be at the show on January 7th. If you are there then we should meet up and say hello. Pardon if I am hung over!
I have a question Craig. I think the last PSX video was from the prototype and had the sound skipping issue on it. Has the issue with sound skipping and the emulator been corrected yet?
This statement is not true. I first played kings quest 5 VGA edition on my 386 16mhz machine and it ran perfectly. I also ran it in windows 98 second edition on both a p3 as well as a and k6-3 as well just fine. They didn't make it 486 compatible only since the 386 was more than enough. I'm...
I see the pandora in my eyes as a spiritual successor to my Zaurus C-3000. It has what the zaurus was missing and thats the gaming controls. This to me is a niche device. Every person who enjoys the Nintendo DS isnt going to enjoy this. I can do a lot more and is basically a linux computer...
depends here since to me it's just another cryptic message. What does "some" mean? More than 1, so if they ship 2 of them then they have shipped "some". Shipping the rest later in the month most likely means most of 102, which will most likely goto press and developers.
I agree with a lot of people here. It is not coming for Christmas and it's not coming in January. I remember wen mwestons site said shipping November 2009. They took it off and said basically that they didn't take it off because they weren't gonna make it. Yeah right. I am going to guess march.
