My shoulder button isn't as easily fixed I'm afraid. I followed all the suggestions above with no luck. So since my Pandora's back was already bare I plugged in the unit and fired up the input tester. Even with the micro switch directly pushed it fails to respond. The right micro switch responds...
Shoot, I goofed on the script to start the program. Some folders don't get created initially so the program crashes.
Also can someone help me with the Icon Graphic I'm not sure which way to go with it.
I'll re-upload. when I get a second.
Edit: had a Second see below
Still allot of things to improve on but here it is.
What it can do.
Scans /media/ for known roms using md5sum checks
Adding and removing from favorites
pressing Y will change sort order available sorts are system, year, and genre (this doesn't work without rom verification)
pressing B...
If I was just making a launcher for the app that would be great, but I'm needing to send a file and options to the program within the pnd. PND is an awesome "container" file and I know that these problems get worked out over time. I wrote a script to rename the files so that pnd_run.sh works...
Which is why its a good way to check the validity of a file. What I'm wondering is if two computers take two discs, that where manufactured in the same batch, created the same type of image when backing up onto a hard-drive if the files would have the same md5sums.
If not is there a better way...
I'm curious about MD5 sums that are created for CD images. I know that if you have the same file from the same rip the md5sum will be the same, but what if I rip a game lets say
wipeout1.bin which gives me e7b16d2b587c9b314791a3866e2de979 will another CD created at the same time and ripped to...
Thanks for the suggestion but no dice. For testing sake I'm going to remove all the spaces and special characters from the filenames manually. My program doesn't care about filenames so it shouldn't cause an issue.
So I think I found a bug in the current run_pnd.sh script. I can send any number of options using -a but when a filename has a space in it the command believes it is complete and executes. I've tried placing the filename in quotes and using \ before every none standard character and space in...
So does that mean the extra voltage required to make the usb port "High speed" causes the heat? Can we change the setting in software to limit bandwidth to decrease the heat exchange? Besides burnt fingers is there any chance of damaging anything?
Since the poll did not specify they device or the means of the advertising I can't say I disagree with adds. I have an android device and most of the apps I have are free and ad supported. However, splash screens are horrible in regards to ads and making a user connect to a network to...
Doesn't show up in dmesg on my Ubuntu laptop either. Test is inconclusive. If the Pandora uses alsa (which I assume it does) then theres likely a command that can be issued to find the state of the headphone jack. I'm not having any luck finding it however. Will post back when I do.
I know theres a utility to set the cpu in xfce and I assume minimenu. But is there a cmdline version of the utility? I would like to set the cpu for each emulator/game in PEF and that would be a wonderful way to go about it.
I don't have my unit yet or I would probably know the answer already...
Okay I see now. No that wouldn't cause any problems. What I thought you meant was for every mouse event or nub event you would set the cpu. If its confined to certain operations or areas of the screen ,then yeah it would be a great improvement.
It makes me wonder if you can simply append a...
Yeah I think it will be best to integrate libpnd into the package, to do it right. But since I want this program to be cross platform ( in the long run) I need to make sure my dependences are kept to a minimum.
Thats for all the info, I now know how to proceed.
I didn't explain myself well. What I mean is that you don't want the system to constantly tell setcpu (or whatever its called) to set the processor speed while your using it. It should set the processor to 800 mhz on the first interaction with the device and then wait a given time limit after...
The driver that interfaces with the kernel is open source. The firmware that tells the wifi chip what to do is not. I have had several wireless adapters that needed the closed firmware to make the open source driver work. I think its to cut down the manufacturing cost of the wireless device.
