    New Sdhc/sdhx Spec Released

    http://www.sdcard.org/consumers/speed_class/ Also includes info on the new UHS-I spec - 104 megabytes/sec - whoa.

So... Should I Order One Now?

Since we have so little information, one estimate is as good as another. I'd guess end of October at the earliest, and that's assuming that production restarts pretty much immediately. So, if I were you, I'd start with Halloween, and add a day for every day that passes without production being...

    Got My Email!

Heh. Here's my date as per my email headers: Date: Tue, 30 Sep 2008 15:42:45 +0100 (BST) Jacquelyn told me a while back that I was 400-500. Either a lot of folks canceled in the last few months, or the queue thing is really not all that reliable.

    How Many Units And Time

I think more like "perhaps in time for Halloween".

    Got My Email!

Do you know your order confirmation email time?

Latest "confirm" Time To Get Shipment Email?

I saw this, where a 14:36 UTC 'confirm' has gotten a shipment notice. Anyone that's gotten a shipping email have a later time than that? This might be helpful for the anxious. Like me.

    Close To 1000?

I think that 14:25 UTC is more likely your confirmation time, given what mine is, and what other mail recipients have claimed. Thanks for the response, and congrats on your upcoming Pandora. If someone truly got a 'shipping' email for a 14:36 UTC confirm time, either they're really moving with...

    Close To 1000?

I think that order confirmation email times are more useful than estimated queue positions at this time. I think that this (14:36 UTC) is the "latest" order confirmation time that has claimed a shipping email as of yet. People posting such information would actually be a useful thread.

    New Pandora Forum At Tapland

Totally agree. I held onto my Zodiac until the bitter end - even bought one of the remainder units that were unearthed after Tapwave bit the dust. Still have it (actually, one functional, two dead). I think it very funny that some games that defined the Zodiac have more or less recently been...

    I've Canceled

The OP team, of course, knows the built/shipped figures. As I've said before, it's impossible to run a business without knowing. No need to count, your accounting software will do it all for you. I also think that "transparency" and "openness" seemed like good ideas when the project started...

    I've Canceled

RE: shipped units: You cannot book revenue until a unit is shipped. This is simple GAAP, which I believe, is employed in the UK and Europe, as well as the US. So if nothing else, you gain because you're running a business adequately, and adhering to local laws. You really, really should have...

    I've Canceled

I simply cannot accept that the notion of "inventory" is optional for any business or enterprise, and that's essentially what I'm asking for. It is a fundamental part of doing business, any kind, any size. Saying anything to the contrary is just silly and indefensible. Suggesting that a client...

    I've Canceled

Actually, you didn't. Apologies. A user with an almost identical avatar icon did. Again, apologies for the mis-attribution.

    I've Canceled

Please don't revisit this one. The Pandora was intended to be a general purpose hand-held, too. Craig has been quoted extensively on this. Sorry, if you truly don't know how many units you've shipped out to your own customers, especially with such small numbers, well, I think that defines...

    I've Canceled

Yeah, it'd be nice if the graphic was official, and accurate. Since it is neither, it is nothing more than a nice guess wrapped in a pretty picture. I think that OP can do better than that.

    I've Canceled

As ED himself has said in another thread, he meets rudeness with rudeness. Well, he was pretty damned rude in his last posting. More so than calling their efforts at information distribution "piss poor". I doubt that even the OP members would dispute that. See my post again. All of the...

    I've Canceled

Nice. The original poster underwrites your project for years. He loses patience, politely, and tries to make helpful suggestions. He's completely dismissed. Lovely. Sorry, but the information coming from OP is piss poor. The excuse that it takes too long to update is also piss poor. To make...

Any News From The Assembly Line ?

Here's a pretty solid guess, and it is just based on the numbers, some email from Jacquelyn, and past behavior of the OP team. That's all that matters to me at this point - I don't care about webcams, new assemblers, etc. I'd speculate that the OP team can fill in all of the blanks mentioned...
