Yet another unofficial Pyra case color poll

It's all about marketing. You just need to come up with a fancy name for it: "Rose Gold"; "Salmon"; "Soft Ruby".

Yet another unofficial Pyra case color poll

I voted for red and white. That makes pink.

That's the one, there's your winner. Everyone go home, all cases will be hot pink. :P

Sorry, the implied joke is that Facebook says I have tonnes of friends but they're all "facebook friends" so in reality (and on the switch) I have zero friends.

Once he gets the moulds over to UniquePlast they are going to have to do some runs in different colours anyway to give some ideas of what each will look like, may as well make your voice known for the sample to be run.

And if not configured correctly will happily stream your desktop instead of the game you actually want. I forget how I fixed that.

    Odroid Go

Ah, ok, now I hear the problems. Wasn't sure what I was listening for but with the suggestion that level 2 sounds better than 1 I had a second listen and can agree, it's definitely not good at level 1. Still wouldn't call it unbearable but that's just me I guess.

    Odroid Go

Interesting. While it's by no means a great speaker I wouldn't qualify it as unbearable. Actually I found it reasonably good for its size and shape: no clipping, no hissing, no tinniness. It can get very loud, so I've just been playing on the lowest volume setting. edit to add: agree with...

    Something has gone wrong.

Anodizing aluminum is effectively free on large runs: it costs a couple bucks to anodize a full sheet from which you get dozens, possibly hundreds of plates, bringing the per unit price to pennies or less, and etching them after is just part of the cutting process so no added cost there. Not to...

    2gb vs 4gb RAM

Mistakes happen, it's part of being human. Saying "we won't do this because it caters to lazy and stupid people" is basically saying "be perfect and if you aren't it's your own fault". I'm not suggesting caching be off by default, but there's a pretty good argument to be made that it should at...

    2gb vs 4gb RAM

Well now I'm disappointed in the Linux community. Sure it's good to have some config files to disable the write cache but if Windows has had a standard tick box for exactly that purpose then there's no reason that we shouldn't also have something similar in our file managers.

    2gb vs 4gb RAM

That is new then, I'll have to check it out. I still remember Windows 8 needing to properly eject the device else it could corrupt written data.

    2gb vs 4gb RAM

That's unfortunately how it works. Everywhere. Windows and Mac too. At least with linux you've got the option of turning on the flush or sync options, and you can see the remaining requests ticking down to zero.

    2gb vs 4gb RAM

You can't, nor should you. The progress bar is just doing what the kernel says, and the kernel "finishes" the unsynced copy quickly: all you'd get is a progress bar zip across to 100% and then sit there for an indeterminate length of time while the sync finishes. If this is an internal disk...

Is there really a light at the end of the journey...?

That was the original sleep state. Notaz eventually pulled two more low power tricks out of it: the first actually put the CPU to sleep and was able to give an estimated 2 months between charging, the second was massive improvements to the governor and some other CPU tweaks that, when idle...

Nexus 5. I've torn it apart and fixed a few things already but there are limits. It doesn't really matter though, you're destroying my joke with reasonable solutions. Stop it! :P

    2gb vs 4gb RAM

Yeah, alias doesn't do any interpretation, it literally just replaces what you type with the alias. so "cpa foo bar" gets replaced with "cp $@; sync foo bar" A function is the way to go, exactly as you did it (functions can be defined in an alias). Or even just define the function without the...
