    Clearing Up Some Rumours...

QUOTE GP2X would be a valuable tool for learning how to program Not really as generally it is only C or C++ with SDL which you can do on a PC.

    Coder Needed For New Game.

I was more thinking along the lines of: "If I am going too fast, I would hit a wall to reduce my speed to make it easier as long as I keep my health up" type abuse.

What happens to your speed if you hit a wall?

    Coder Needed For New Game.

The screens look cool but I can't make see how the game is played. What the gameplay concepts? What do you envision the controls?

Help Find Someone With No Time (new Baby) A Game/thing To Play/do!

Shadowrun on the SNES was a great underrated RPG back in its day. Ran pretty well on a slightly overclocked GP32 so I suspect it be fine on a GP2X/PSP.

    Our New Machine, Pandora

The patent of the Dpad is very specific which is why the Sony Playstation has bits missing in the center and the Xbox's have circle disc rather then a cross.

    I Get This Now...

It was moved to the LOL files which is basically the deleted archive. No-one can reply to it expect for Admins and Moderators. In short, it is just locked. MaGaIn: It was locked/moved because none of your arguments held any weight and the whole thing just got tiresome to reply to. Take a look...

    Lets Be Realistic...

MaGaIn: WTF? Seriously. GPH did release a SDK, a pretty poor one at that and very outdated. The community developed and released a much better and up to date toolchain (DevKitGP2X and Open2x). DRM is not needed for protecting software. What percentage of PC games have you seen with DRM...

    Starting A Web Server

People ask why because there may be a different solution for the actual problem then the one proposed. Another possibility is to setup a Wifi dongle with the GP2X and connect directly to the router. This way you can forward the relevant ports needed to the GP2X. If you want to run a server on...

    Memory Leak Prevention

CODE ~SurfaceWrapper(void) { } // Put break point here That normally works in Visual Studio, I can't remember in Code::Blocks.

    Memory Leak Prevention

You may want to look at RAII objects: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Resource_Acqu..._Initialization What the delete keyword does is call the destructor of the object and then free the allocated memory. In my last project, I have something similar for SDL surfaces: CODE //! A wrapper for the SDL...

GP2X Starting Development On Gp2x, Help For A Super N000000b?

Isn't Prolog a logical language not functional? I still can't get my head round Haskell or Prolog despite managing to complete assignments in them :(. As long as you stay within one paradigm, moving from one language is relatively easy. Moving paradigms is pain though. I personally see...

    Few Thoughts On Archos605

I am still trying to find a PMP that can handle MKVs and OGMs. AFAIK, Archos doesn't support them, I am hoping the Pandora will.
