You're technically impressed that a second generation NES game could be ported to a platform that has, for the most part, significantly better hardware??
Oh I stand corrected then.. in that case.. they did a god awful job. I thought the dodgy side scrolling was due to technical limits...
LINUX MINT! (Its based off Ubuntu)
All the media codecs are pre-canned with the distro so no 4rseing about going to the wrong repositories and dl'ing stuff that breaks your system. Also stuff like DVD playback and its ability to run alongside Windows if needed is good too.
I would only go...
I'd say try for an exclusive agreement with Byulbram Creatures. Wait 3 years for a demo and then never release the full version of the game. I'm still waiting for Blood Cross.. :P

The first batch probably won't even be released till June. I say don't spend any money until you can buy it straight up
Best piece of advice I've seen in a long time :) My Pandora money recently got diverted into a Yamaha R6. I don't feel too bad about it and will more than likely...

Until you want to copy a 4.5GB iso - then you're stuffed! :P The reason NTFS is locked under linux - is because of improper shutdown in Vista (e.g. hibernation, suspension, turn off too early etc). Also there's a command in...
I would try and offload what you can onto another HD using the linux cd before fiddling with the drive and reduce the risk. Also another trick for some reason is to use a usb cable that has two plugs on it and plug them both into your computer. This is just in case you're HD is starved of power...
Roadkil's Unstoppable Copier is a really really good one.. I used it on some scratched up DVDs and worked pretty well. Got 80% of my stuff back..

I would go with Linux Mint as a first timer.. it has everything and even I got the recommendation from here :P mint4win allows it to co-exist on a Windows partition too - so nothing invasive as such.
If you want a more Windows-y look then KDE is ok - but a more mature setup in something like...
If everything goes to custard back in the UK - there is always New Zealand. It seems we're largely unaffected by the credit crunch.
Especially the IT industry - there's a hefty bit of back scratching, deals behind closed doors, being taken out for coffee, bribery with free gym memberships, VIP...
I got my email on 4/12 and checked my account and got my refund today 10/12.. not bad going all things considered.
Oh yeh I'm based in NZ, so not sure where that puts me on the list (probably somewhere down the bottom maybe..)
I didnt receive an email or a refund and thought I was in the clear - I emailled them the other day to confirm my order was ok and got an email back saying I was due for a refund. I recommend if you havent recieved an email or refund then to contact them ASAP to confirm the status of your order...
Deadmau5 Essential Mix 19072008 - I love the part that sounds like an 8-bit sampling from an old Nintendo / Sega console on the hour mark. Great stuff :P
