A BBC emulator will be worth it if I can play Grannys Garden again :)
I was at the Retro Gamer show this year and found a BBC on a stand and when I informed the owner how when I got captured by the Witch in the game made me shat my pants as a kid, she duly informed me it still has the same...
I remember trying out a Spectum emulator on my Amiga around the same time as my first experience of emulation. I was amazed that such a feat was possible.
And likewise Ive been following the emulation scene ever since :)
Thanks again for that GB box shot Lizard, couldnt have done it without you there! it was a very useful guide to recreating it.
Ok, slightly amended it as per Rlyehs instructions. Characters are now more evenly spaced out and Ive added Snake and Joanna Dark for old kotd here.
Hope that is an...
well i guess i could have a go at spacing out the characters a bit more, move more of them towards the middle at the back.
only went for tetris frolik because thats what was on the original box, and a fair few people have mentioned it - and i cant think of any other way of including a reference...
Funnily enough I was reading that thread only yesterday (by accident when i was looking up DrMD on Google) - hence why I felt the need to highlight the issue. It would be nice to see him and Flubba be less platform partisan - if not port it themselves let someone else do it. He said ZXAdvance...
Reeeesy! Great work man! If only all GBA coders (*cough* The HiVe *cough*) were as generous to the GP32 as you are.
You really are a star :)
As usual, if you want a icon and splash screen for this - lemme know!
yes i tend to divide them up into alphabetical folders. same with spectrum stuff.
i suspect there might not ever be zip support for Frodo (which is a shame) on the GP as the the original version doesnt support it.
still, id love to be proven wrong - those d64s take up a lot of space...
Ah thats good to hear :) Does he want any artwork done for it? As in icon and splash screen (as i see he has a nice virtual keyboard already) as Im a big CPC nut - a CPC emulator is the reason i bought the GP32 in the first place!
Rlyeh mentioned this to me the other day on irc. And yes he has been consulted by D_Skywalk for this. Speedwise I think I recall him saying it was about 15fps - but without sound mind.
But as Wolfsclaw said, dont forget fCPC. Rlyeh still intends to port Caprice himself using bits of Arnold as...
How about instead of porting Hatari entirely, just using its sound core with CaSTawayGP/Z as Chui has done with DCaSTaway?
He told me the sound is much better although it places more demand on the CPU. Course you could circumvent this by using Cyclone.
