Gpl & Source Code - Constructive Suggestions

I've been reading this thread with mounting consternation / fear. If anybody has a genuine concern / greivance about any of their code being used without acknowledgement they should communicate the fact to GPH and try to resolve the issue direct. The original poster did ask for contact info for...

    Video Formats

Anybody tell me what formats a stock GP2x 'might' play. I've decoded a 15 minute film and have translated the .vob to divx and avi and can't get either to play - in fact the divx is not even recognised or shown in the playlist. Terrible Battery Life

So... as I understand it, the movie player consumes the battery life quickest ( is this because af the constant access to the SD and/or is it using the 2nd processor ). And this 'should' be resolved when the SD access problem is fixed in the linux firmware. Does using the music player eat...

Help I Can't Get Anything To Work

I'll try new batteries anyway, but that wouldn't explain why files dont show when in the video player window. Any body point me to a video clip that will work - just so I can verify that I'm not a total numpty. I will also try another (smaller) SD card. Cheers

I am also unable to get any video to show up in the video player - although I can see it in the explorer :( I've re-fromatted the card as suggested but to no avail. I really want to play a DivX. Incidentally the card is a 'Integral 1gb' card that came with the GP2X - and my unit keeps...
