srand(gp_getRTC()); works fine here.
About those random number generators: the most famous is probably the mersenne twister. I haven't done any stats about the newlib one is as "good" as the standard mersenne twister, but I *do* know it's significantly smaller (checked that out when i was doing...
Actually, the chances are slim to none. Python relies too much on stuff like stdio to be easily ported. Best chance would be by using the linux version with gp32linux - Keep in mind that interpreted languages are rather slow (okay, there's psyco), so don't expect to get anything besides most...
Me, Synkro, CHN (retired?), diab0l, the tobi drummer tobi, abitos, oxygene (who improved snaff's gplink), tuskenraider and probably a couple more.
EDIT: how could i forget Mr. Mirko? ;)
There are only 3 episodes anyway for me. This new skool stuff just plainly sucks. I mean, EP1 wasn't exactly Star Wars at its best, but it was somewhat decent. EP2... no comment.
Well, that's the original way mods are meant to be played. The mod format was developed on the Amiga, which had 4 sound channels (1+4 left stereo channel, 2+3 right stereo channel). It was okay on Amiga, but I agree it sucks on GP32 and via headphones. Hard. ;)
I don't think it's about being a snob. Imagine you're doing a mode7 racing game for a compo. A C coder needs to write it himself (or at least locate a freely available lib for that and port/include it) which takes a lot longer than using the appropriate fenix commands (I think I read about mode7...
Because it's easier to write a game in fenix than it is in C/C++. It would be unfair for the C/C++ coders (at least that's probably what Kojote thinks). Anyway, nothing worse than changing rules during a compo, so... bad luck for you ;)
Well, as nobody answers you, I'll try to help you. I don't have the slightest clue about VB.net, and I don't even remember how VB4 worked ;)
What you need to do is to check the parameter that is passed to your application. I really don't know how this works in vb.net. There should be a function...
Well, he could at least be honest and say, "I'm too cheap to donate for stuff i'll get for free anyway" instead of inventing all those excuses.
"I don't donate for the SNES emu because it's not perfect"
"I don't donate for the Megadrive emu because the sound is not perfect"
"I don't donate for...

Well, psj3809, those people who "know copyright law" probably don't know german copyright law. Copyright laws are different in each country.
Apart from that, it just doesn't make sense to discuss about roms in the context with homebrew software that's being sold. There's no link between roms...
Yes, it is legal. We still have the right for a private copy - which has lately been narrowed because music/film industry and our government work hand in hand *cough* - It's allowed to make a backup of your friend's CD for your own use - we're paying a small amount with each CDR or DVDR we're...
I really don't get your points, people. Why should forget about my copyrights? Just because the rest of the gp32 scene has roms on their SMC?
I'm no hypocrit. I don't use emulators on the gp32 (I basically bought it for development, and I enjoy playing homebrew stuff), therefore i don't have...
