What about a fold out / clip on thumb pad? Hang on... Like this one;

To my mind there's little point to anything much more than that on this size of device - the alternative is a bigger Qwerty keyboard, and for that I would say you...
With all the different linuxes out there, and all the millions of different versions of libraries - this would be impossible to ensure 100% compatibility. Imagine I develop a game today, and build it using current libraries - will those libraries still be guaranteed to behave in the same manner...
I think a clamshell would only work if the Screen plus control could be opened out the full 360 so that the keyboard is at the back and controls either side of the screen. That would require a flattish dpad though - so bleah. And the screen would go floppy over time.
The best no compromise...
Anyone ever booted a nokia e65? I think my Gp2x might even beat it...
Anyway re: community, we just set up a new site for the new console, but while all the newbies/other important though completely different customers use that for complaining sorting out their issues - we continue to use this...
Why do people love to post/repost big giant pics... Wait... my screen is only 1024x768 - wait isn't that what most people have?
Anyway, I reckon if it is a slide out keyboard it won't add too much bulk. You have roughly three flat rectangular pieces to begin with; screen, motherboard and...
I think so too, though it is not 500mhz as Craigix suggested/muttered about.. He may have been rounding up though... But I don't know of many dual cpu chips... Also its on 45nm AFAIK which means super low power consumption. Let's not forget the validity of Evil Dragon's 'April fool'...
Mfk...
Simple solution to that - ban the n64 kiddies, and force them into lurking. That way we can have techno geek discussions and the N64 kiddies can learn how to er ... learn. Or just go off and do random acts of vandalism.
...Photos?
Mmmh interesting. Well first the good, Worms Armageddon definitely seems to report more fps on about 1.5 cycles, 250mhz and ram tweaks.
With Frameskip on at 1/2, real fps decreases, though the framerate obviously increases. However this doesn't seem to make the game go faster - but slower...
Seems to me they're out for the kill - they probably want to provide an alternative to 'PSP fanboiz' and cover the er current community. Commercially viable is probably the word.
... If the new console does have a removable clip on battery, then it would be easy enough to mod an AA pack. If...
I would really hope not to be stuck with semi-propriatory Li-ion. Even 'standard' packs are not standard enough that one would be confident they'll still be around in five years.
Options would be great - an interchangeable battery pack? Or add on AA pack. Talking to the wall aren't I... Oh...
Argos sells Adapters suitable for the Gp2x;

Hope you get on well with this little device..
Edit; for more info on the psu, like polarisation, very important - center...
Dead right. At the end of the day there's still plenty of scope with the GP2x, anything else may never exist, and this emu thrills me more than say running psx on a psp, or on an actual psx! I like to see decent programming in action. And I love conquering the adversities of hardware (I've had...
I was just looking at the specs on the psp vs Vrender 3d. It seems the PSP claims 33Million polygons per second while the vrender only 1.5million. I think there must be something I'm missing though;
"Graphics Accelerator: 1.5 million polygons per second (OpenGL ES supported)" - wikipedia on XGP...
Aprils Fools?
Guessing mmsp2+ Only thing that hits the compatibility and whatever marks. The only single Cpu chip wouldn't be GP2x compatible. The only questions that remain now are, screen Res and touchscreen or not. Eagerly anticipated...
Darn, just another excuse for devs to get lazy. All...
