    Starcraft?

Yes, Mupen64 is far from being as good as best N64 emulators on windows. It is unstable and has a quite low compatibility level. And worst, the last update was released 2 years and half ago. There is supposed to be another N64 emluator on Linux, called TrueReality, but it seems to be abandonned...

Get 9,5 Hours Of Gp2x Action @ 200mhz On Aa Batteries!

Yes. But you need stable current (that any decent universal adaptor give), 1A, and be careful with polarity (minus in the center).

GP2X Physics Engine And Game Ideas...

Hi everyone! APE (Actionscript Physics Engine) is a really nice, lightweight, developer friendly physics engine for AS3. You can have a look at a demo here: http://www.cove.org/ape/demo1.htm http://www.cove.org/ape/demo2.htm Daniele Maiorana has ported it to Visual C++, and I have modified...

I Want To See A Space Shooter.

Creating such a game from scratch is a gigantic amount of work... I think it would be a more realistic option to port an already existing game like that to Pandora. OpenGL Frontier (Elite 2) should be very easy to port to Pandora. Freespace 2 has been ported to Linux, but you need the original...

    Java

It was true until recently, because Java was not open source. There is no doubt that with the decision of Sun to open it, it will change. More and more open-source applications will be written in Java, and Java will be packaged with all linux distributions in the future.

    Asus Eee Pc Emulation

Come on, the most powerfull Libretto (not Libretto U, still expensive) runs at 266 MHz and has 64 MBytes of RAM. How can you compare that with the eee? Eee is just amazing. It boots quickly and is just powerful enough for standard applications (web browser, mail client, office applications...)...

    Asus Eee Pc Emulation

Asus eee is a 900 MHz 500MBytes Linux PC, no more, no less. So of course emulators run better than on the GP2X, which runs a similar system with much less horsepower. However, Asus eee does not fit in your pocket and does not have gaming controls. EDIT: And eee has 3D hardware, too. So PSX...

    Purchase Decision For Amiga Nut

You can have an idea of the speed/compatibility level here: http://wiki.gp2x.org/wiki/UAE4all In my opinion, the main problem are the controls: the last time I tried there were no way to map keys on joystick buttons (please tell me if I'm wrong). Therefore you have to use the virtual keyboard...

    Possibilities? Dictionary And Wikipedia?

Even on the GP2X screen? I have not tried, but I would have expected the resolution to be too low.

    N64 Emulation

You will never get Direct X 10, PS3, XBOX 360, PS2, XBOX, Dreamcast, Gamecube, N64 emulator running at a playable framerate on GP2X. Never. Of course you can say "never". Some things are just not possible. And no, qwerty15, playable N64 emulator is not a possibility at all. Corn required 3D...

    Possibilities? Dictionary And Wikipedia?

Actually, reading Wikipedia offline sounds perfectly doable even on the GP2X. Using a web browser is probably not the best option, but there seems to be alternatives: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=275403 I will make some investigation in the next days and figure out what is...

    Legally Emulating Games

The problem is that the gap between what is morally acceptable and what is legal is quite big when it comes to game emulation. No one can seriously argue that freely downloading a game is immoral when right owners have no way to make profit of it any more. Most former small editors and game...

Ported Freeware As Shareware - A Question For Devs

Generally, open-source software have a restrictive licence. Most of the time, it is GPL. GPL does not theoretically prevent you from charging people for a game that you have ported, but, as you must provide the modified code and licence it under GPL, anyone who will buy it will be allowed to...

Your Most Wanted Ported Game On Pandora?

Flightgear does not require a powerful machine (a 5 years old PC is enough). There is probably something wrong with your settings (or maybe FPS are locked?). On Pandora, memory requirements will probably be a problem.

    GP32 Palette Vs 16bit Mode

In software (which is what the default SDL does), twice, I think. In hardware, it is less clear. However, a full screen scrolling in 16 bits, even in pure software, should not be that much a problem, even at 30 fps (after all, it's just 128 KBytes to copy). Hmmm... I am not sure to understand...

    Gp2x Vs Pandora

This is actually an Amiga 1200 with a CD drive, not an A500 (68020, better graphic chipset). And the A1200 is a great machine that is not emulated on the GP2X. A500 emulation on GP2X is not perfect anyway (and without keynoard, it is not that interesting...) Having a fullspeed A1200 emulation...

    Egoboo Problem

I don't remember exactly how to do it, but I remember it was pretty straightforward. The idea is to use this gpu940_225 file instead of the one which is actually used, I think. Maybe just overwritting a file called gpu940 (or something like that) by the already existing gpu940_225. Or maybe...

    Gp2x Vs Pandora

Porting an emulator which already runs under Linux and which is written in pure C should really not be a big deal, and I guess it will be done very quickly when the Pandora will be released. Of course, it won't be very well optimized, but it does not really matter for 16 bits systems...

    Egoboo Problem

Well, try 200, just to check that the problem is the one I have pointed out. Then you can try to increase it. But be careful, change the right value, I am talking about the second processor overclocking (the 940).

    Egoboo Problem

Last time I tried, egoboo was overclocking the second CPU higher than what my GP2X can do. This can be changed in the configuration file.
