Media Keys And Alarm Buzzer Idea

well.... £20 and 1-3 weeks wait, couldn't find a breakout board for a ATMEGA32U4 from the UK! the atmega 32u4 as a separate component can be had for as little as £3.50 as a one off, so if made with a custom circuit board the buzzer and 6 micro switches and a slide switch will probably cost more...

Media Keys And Alarm Buzzer Idea

http://www.pjrc.com/teensy/usb_keyboard.html something like this with 1/2 the buzzers and the buzzer connected to the keyboard "caps lock LED" My alarm daemon could then find the custom keyboard device and just set the caps lock led to make a noise.... anyone know if Pandora's usb works ok...

Media Keys And Alarm Buzzer Idea

no because you could have the sound turned right down with the *physical* volume control - which has nothing to do with software.... and has it not occurred to you that another motivation for this project, is that I enjoy building useful electronics..?

    Replacing Networkmanager

using the modified op_wifi.sh it will connect any "connect automatically" connections when the wifi is switched on, so if you configure wifi to start on boot then it should just work... I've noticed sometimes it won't connect automatically but its not a biggie to do a refresh and click connect...

    Replacing Networkmanager

managed to get it to connect automatically when the wifi is enanbled - so now *very* happy with it !!! also noticed that my wifi seems to be on wifi1 not wifi0 for some reason - not sure whats about! /usr/pandora/op_wifi.sh #!/bin/sh # # Released under the GPL # This script simply toggles...

Media Keys And Alarm Buzzer Idea

I have my right shoulder configured as a XF86AudioNext key for when I'm on the go with cmus in "low power" mode, however this is slightly sub-optimal as its all too easy to jog the shoulder button when on the go... As the pandora *can* be woken up from its OFF state by its alarm, and as the...

    Debian On An Sd Card

guys you might want to add psplash=false to the kernel line in /autoboot.txt You can even spot some interesting things in official firmware! bound to be able to spot something - I really must get round to doing another decent debian hacking session - I nearly got pcsx-rearmed working....

    Replacing Networkmanager

I've never been keen on NM - its hard to make it behave and theres a ton of dependencies and the fact there are none X gui's for it make it a *big* plus!

    Replacing Networkmanager

nice surprise the the curses gui is *nice* so if you ever need to kill slim and mess around with the console you can still wget.... dont bother with the version of urwid from the angstrom repo its for python 2.5 *sigh* just grab easy_install...

    Replacing Networkmanager

wicd isn't 100% perfect - you'll have to give it a prod after enabling the wifi driver afaics but it still beats NetworkManager Its slimmer not reliant on a bunch of gnome stuff... it has a curses or cli gui as well as as a gtk gui! It's a *lot* more configurable - yes you can do fixed address...

    Release Pcsx-Rearmed

I also notice that when run with Debian it fails to find the gpio-keys event device node... I suspect this is more a Debian misconfiguration but I'll look more properly once I get some time (xinput *does* report a gpio-keys device....) Years ago - a few more than I care to remember I had the...

Pandora Pandora Pim Alarm Deamon Rtc

I don't have a patch, I didn't keep the original source - seriously its so minor that anyone with slight skills and 2 mins look at the rtc kernel code can implement very quickly and its possibly not fit for use as I just keep the irq enabled all the time and I'm not sure of what issues that...

    Alternative Tv-Out Solution For Pandora

    Release Pcsx-Rearmed

is there any way to override the nub axis with a usb joystick ? using nubs for GT2 or worse toca2 is basically unplayable! with my cheaptastic thrustmaster II I can deftly control the racing cars - even if I hobble the PC emu to perform similarly to on the pandora, using nubs is a disaster...
